On the morning of March 11, the Hanoi Party Committee coordinated with the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics to organize a scientific conference with the theme: "95 years of the founding of the Hanoi Party Committee, stature and historical significance" (March 17, 1930 - March 17, 2025).
This is an important and practical activity to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Hanoi Party Committee. The workshop is an opportunity to look back on the 95 years of struggle, construction and development of the Hanoi Party Committee, identify opportunities and challenges in the new period, draw lessons and propose directions and tasks for the development of the Capital in the new era - the era of national development.
The workshop was attended by 150 delegates, including representatives of central agencies, the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, leaders of the City Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, leaders of departments, branches, districts, towns; experts, scientists and representatives of families of former senior leaders.
The workshop focused on discussing three main parts: Part one: Hanoi, the origin of revolutionary movements. Part two: Party leaders, predecessors of the Hanoi Party Committee during the Party building period. Part three: Lessons learned by the Hanoi Party Committee during 95 years of construction and development.
Speaking at the closing ceremony of the scientific conference with the theme "95 years of the founding of the Hanoi Party Committee - stature and historical significance (March 17, 1930 - March 17, 2025)", Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Danh Tien - Director of the Institute of Party History (Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics) said that the presentations reflected quite comprehensively and deeply the stature, significance and leadership role of the Hanoi Party Committee over the past 95 years.
Spiritual support to encourage the revolutionary movement of the whole country
According to Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Danh Tien, with a spirit of urgency, seriousness, and high sense of responsibility, the scientific conference "95 years of the founding of the Hanoi Party Committee, historical significance and stature (March 17, 1930 - March 17, 2025)" has completed the entire proposed program.
Nearly 40 presentations at the Workshop inherited the results of scientific research related to the leadership of the Hanoi Party Committee through historical periods. At the same time, many new documents and new perceptions were accessed. The presentations reflected quite comprehensively and deeply the stature, significance and leadership role of the Hanoi Party Committee over the past 95 years.
The papers submitted to the Conference and the opinions expressed at the Scientific Conference analyzed and clarified Hanoi - the origin of revolutionary movements. Regarding this content, there were more than 10 articles mentioning the revolutionary movements in Hanoi in the first decades of the 20th century, especially the role and significance of the birth of the Vietnam Revolutionary Youth Association in Hanoi. The articles affirmed that the patriotic and revolutionary movements in Hanoi in the first decades of the 20th century became the focus, creating a vibrant revolutionary wave throughout the country.
Many papers clearly stated that the birth of the Hanoi Party Committee (March 17, 1930) and the revolutionary movements in Hanoi, Ha Dong, and Son Tay were the nucleus for the Party organization to take root in the nationwide revolutionary movement. The exemplary and pioneering role of the Hanoi Party Committee in the context of being terrorized by the enemy became a spiritual support to encourage the revolutionary movement of the whole country to fight for independence.
Articles about the process of establishing the City Party Committee and leading the struggle to seize power in the capital have affirmed that Hanoi is the origin of many patriotic and revolutionary movements. Typical examples are the Communist Party Cell 5D Ham Long - the first Communist Party Cell in the country; the birth of the Dong Phu Party Cell and the Da Phuc Party Cell in the suburbs of Hanoi; the event of Trung Mau Commune (now part of Hanoi), the first commune in the Northern Delta to rise up and seize power (March 10, 1945).
Many articles about the process of the City Party Committee leading the People in the resistance war against the French colonialists and the American imperialists have clarified the role and contributions of the City Party Committee and People to the cause of resistance, construction and protection of the Capital.
During the resistance war against the US, to save the country and build socialism in the North (1954 - 1975), under the leadership of the City Party Committee, the army and people of the Capital both built the material and technical foundations of socialism and fulfilled their duty as the great rear base to the great front line. Many emulation movements starting from Hanoi spread throughout the country such as: "Saturday to promote the struggle for national reunification" movement; "Each person works as hard as two for the beloved South" movement.
The revolutionary movements in Hanoi and the two provinces of Ha Dong and Son Tay have remained in the memory of the nation and the people of Hanoi, urging generations of young people to be ready to go to war, such as the movements: "Three ready"; "Three brave", "Put down your pen and ink and go fight the Americans", "The Truong Son stick"... The great contributions of the army and people of Hanoi in the resistance war against the Americans, to save the country, were admired and praised by friends around the world as "The capital of conscience and human dignity".
Enhance confidence in the leadership of the Hanoi City Party Committee
Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Danh Tien also said that the presentations at the Workshop clarified the role and great contributions of President Ho Chi Minh, Party leaders, and exemplary senior leaders during the Party building period of the Hanoi Party Committee.
Scientists all agree on one point: the achievements over the past 95 years are due to the Party Committee, government and people of Hanoi always receiving the attention and close leadership of the Party, President Ho Chi Minh and generations of leaders of the Party, State, and typical senior leaders during the Party building period of the Hanoi Party Committee; the dedication and sense of responsibility of the comrades of the City Party Committee Secretaries and leaders of the City government through historical periods; and the consensus of all classes of people.
Many articles have analyzed in depth and clarified the great contributions of Party and State leaders; typical senior leaders of the Hanoi Party Committee during the Party establishment period in building the revolutionary movement during the period of campaigning to establish the Party and Hanoi Party Committee; re-establishing the Hanoi Party Committee after many times of being madly attacked by the enemy; building and consolidating Party organizations and restoring the revolutionary movement in Hanoi, Ha Dong, Son Tay; leading the revolutionary movement during difficult times such as: fighting to gain power during the August Revolution in Hanoi, fighting to protect the Capital for 60 days and nights, resisting the French colonialists... Typical are comrades: Nguyen Phong Sac, Do Ngoc Du, Nguyen Ngoc Vu, Tran Quy Kien.
At the same time, the discussions also analyzed and clarified the lessons learned from the revolutionary leadership of the Hanoi Party Committee - the decisive factor in all of Hanoi's victories over the past 95 years.
Nearly 10 presentations affirmed that from the 95 years of leadership of the revolutionary cause of the Hanoi Party Committee, many valuable lessons have been learned, such as: The Hanoi Party Committee always thoroughly grasps and creatively applies the Party's guidelines to suit the specific conditions of the city in each historical period. Lessons about the efforts to overcome difficulties to promote the cause of industrialization, modernization and international integration. Lessons about exploiting all potentials and strengths, effectively mobilizing all resources of the city, and the strength of the political system.
At the same time, promote democracy and solidarity of all classes of people in developing the digital economy, developing cultural industry, streamlining the apparatus in the direction of "refined, compact, strong, effective, efficient, effective". Lessons on gaining the attention and support of the Central Committee and close coordination with the Central Committee's departments, ministries and branches as well as localities, with the spirit of "The whole country for Hanoi, Hanoi for the whole country".
