(Dan Tri) - The Executive Committee of the Vietnam Writers Association has just revoked the decision to transfer Mr. Luong Ngoc An to the position of Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Writers and Life magazine.
Confirming with Dan Tri reporter, a source said that the Vietnam Writers Association met on January 3 and revoked the decision to appoint Mr. Luong Ngoc An as Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Writers and Life magazine.
"During the meeting, the Writers' Association discussed many issues, also talked about the good and bad things, and public opinion in the past with Mr. Luong Ngoc An. Therefore, the Association made the above decision," the source shared.

On January 4, the Vietnam Writers Association also sent a letter to its members about the transfer of Mr. An to the position of Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Writers and Life magazine, posted publicly on the Association's website.
Accordingly, the Executive Committee of the Writers' Association said that at the meeting in June 2024, poet Tran Dang Khoa - Vice President of the Vietnam Writers' Association, Editor-in-Chief of the Writers and Life magazine - proposed adding a Deputy Editor-in-Chief to the magazine. He proposed poet Luong Ngoc An, currently working at the Vietnam Writers' Association, for this position.
The Executive Committee asked poet Luong Ngoc An to explain some personal issues, discussed the magazine's operations, the need to add staff, and decided to transfer poet Luong Ngoc An to work at Writers and Life magazine as Deputy Editor-in-Chief from November 28, 2024.
However, after reviewing some steps in the process and considering some conditions related to the transfer, the Executive Committee decided to withdraw this decision and report to the press command agency and the superior press management agency.
Previously, at the end of November 2024, poet Tran Dang Khoa said that due to age and health reasons, he would gradually retire from his positions and jobs. In particular, he announced that he would only finish the issue of Writers and Life magazine in the Spring of At Ty 2025.
Therefore, the Writers Association has assigned Mr. Luong Ngoc An to the position of Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Writers and Life magazine. However, this decision was opposed by many people, with mixed opinions related to the noisy private life of Mr. Luong Ngoc An.
That is the reason why the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Writers Association drafted this response letter.
