Dong Nai Province Journalists Association celebrates 98th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day

On behalf of the leaders of Dong Nai province, comrade Nguyen Son Hung, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee acknowledged and commended the achievements of press agencies and journalists in the province in recent times. At the same time, he requested that in the coming time, the Provincial Journalists Association and press agencies continue to well implement Directive No. 43 of the Secretariat on strengthening the Party's leadership over the activities of the Vietnam Journalists Association in the new situation; building a strong Provincial Journalists Association and its branches.

The Association regularly provides political and professional training to its members; builds a cultural press agency and a journalistic culture for journalists. Journalists need to continue to study, practice, cultivate, and build their capacity to meet new requirements; apply digital transformation and implement the rules for using social networks for journalists.

At the ceremony, the Organizing Committee awarded the 34th Dong Nai Golden Pen Press Award in 2023 to 16 works. Of which, the series of printed articles (5 issues) "The suffering of... the super ward" Dong Nai Newspaper by the group of authors: Phuong Hang-Cong Nghia-Tran Danh-Pham Tung-Hanh Dung won the First Prize. This series of articles also won the Encouragement Prize of the 17th National Press Award - 2023.

On this occasion, the Dong Nai Provincial Journalists Association awarded the "For the Cause of Vietnamese Journalism" medal from the President of the Vietnam Journalists Association to a number of members and presented membership cards to new members.
