(CLO) The 13th Gia Lai Provincial Press Award in 2024, 40 works were recognized, including: 4 A prizes, 8 B prizes, 12 C prizes and 16 consolation prizes in 4 categories.
On the afternoon of January 7, the Gia Lai Provincial Journalists Association held the Closing Ceremony and awarded the 13th Gia Lai Provincial Press Awards 2024 in Pleiku City.
Accordingly, the 13th Gia Lai Provincial Press Award in 2024 received 127 works in 4 categories of print, electronic, audio and visual newspapers from the provincial press agencies, the Cultural, Information and Communication Centers of districts, towns and cities and the central press agencies residing in the province, an increase of 37 works compared to the 12th Provincial Press Award in 2023. The number of authors, groups of authors, and central press agencies residing in the province also participated more than last year.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Lich - Vice Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates to the authors who won A prize.
According to the evaluation of the Final Jury of the 13th Gia Lai Provincial Press Awards, the winning works all have good ideological content, discovery and combativeness, creativity in expression, and have a positive impact on society. The content of the works has quite comprehensively reflected the socio-economic situation of the province, promoting the strengths of all types of journalism in the way of expression.
After 2 preliminary and final rounds, the Organizing Committee selected 40 excellent press works to award 4 A prizes, 8 B prizes, 12 C prizes and 16 Encouragement prizes, an increase of 10 prizes compared to 2023.
At the Closing Ceremony and Awarding Ceremony of the 13th Gia Lai Provincial Press Awards in 2024, the Provincial Journalists Association launched the 14th Gia Lai Provincial Press Awards in 2025. Accordingly, the time for receiving entries begins from January 7, 2025 to May 30, 2025 (according to the postmark). The Organizing Committee is expected to announce and award the awards on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2025).
