Ben Tre Provincial Journalists Association awarded prizes to 24 works winning the 2023 New Rural Journalism Award

After nearly 12 months of launching, the contest has attracted 67 works from authors and groups of professional and non-professional authors inside and outside the province. Of these, there are 15 print works, 27 electronic works, 8 radio works, and 17 television works. As a result, 24 works won prizes in 4 categories: print, electronic, radio, and television. Each category has 1 first prize, 1 second prize, 1 third prize, and 3 consolation prizes.

First prize in the printed newspaper category went to Dong Khoi Newspaper with the work "Building grassroots cultural institutions associated with new rural construction" by the group of authors Huynh Thi Hanh Linh, Phan Thi Ngoc Han, Nguyen Thuy Anh Nguyet.

The first prize for electronic newspaper went to the Vietnam News Agency stationed in Ben Tre with the work Collective economy promotes the role of building prosperous farmers by the group of authors Truong Cong Tri, Pham Hong Nhung, Huynh Phuc Hau.

The radio category belongs to Ben Tre Radio and Television Station with the work The Will of Mrs. 10 Sot by the group of authors Huynh Thi Thuy Duong, Bui Thi Kim Phuc, Nguyen Thi Mong Tien.

The work "Secretary specializing" in building new rural areas by the group of authors Huynh Thi Thuy Duong, Nguyen Ngoc Bao, Mai Trung Hieu, Nguyen Thanh Huynh of Ben Tre Radio and Television Station won first prize in the television category.

According to the organizers' assessment, the works in 4 types of journalism meet the requirements in terms of topics and forms of expression. However, some works are still monotonous in content and form. The works in the contest are to praise the factors and advanced models in the activities of building new rural areas; reflect the atmosphere of joining hands to build new rural areas, have meaning and positive and widespread influence, demonstrating the determination of the Party and State in realizing the goal of building new rural areas.

Speaking at the closing conference, Nguyen Huu Tho - Director of Ben Tre Radio and Television Station, Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association of the province expressed his thanks to the authors and groups of authors who participated and won prizes at the contest.

At the same time, I hope that the authors will continue to be active in promoting the construction of new rural areas, to contribute to promoting the province's plans and goals of building new rural areas to achieve results. The Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association of the province wishes good health and success to the delegates and authors attending the closing ceremony and award ceremony.
