Journalists Association of Thai Nguyen and Yen Bai provinces exchange activities of the Association

At the meeting, the delegation listened to Mr. Nguyen Xuan Canh, Permanent Vice President of the Association, introduce the activities of the Yen Bai Provincial Journalists Association. Currently, the Association has 183 members operating in 5 affiliated journalist branches.

In the first 5 months of the year, the Yen Bai Provincial Journalists Association has carried out many activities such as: Successfully organizing the Spring Newspaper Festival of Quy Mao 2023 with more than 1,000 publications on display; establishing the Final Council; the Jury of the preliminary round and the Preliminary Selection Team, the Service Team for the Yen Bai Provincial Journalism Award 2023; publishing the Special Edition Nguoi Lam Bao No. 98/2023 in accordance with the principles and purposes; maintaining the electronic information page of the Provincial Journalists Association to ensure fast, accurate and timely information; organizing professional training, thoroughly understanding documents related to the association's activities, press activities for journalists and members...

Comrade Nguyen Bao Lam, member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Journalists Association, Chairman of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Journalists Association, on behalf of the delegation, presented the Yen Bai Provincial Journalists Association with specialties of Thai Nguyen province.

Speaking at the meeting, comrade Nguyen Bao Lam, member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Journalists Association, Chairman of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Journalists Association, congratulated the Yen Bai Provincial Journalists Association on its achievements and provided an overview of the activities of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Journalists Association in the first months of 2023.

Accordingly, the Association organized the Quy Mao Spring Newspaper Festival along with the 2023 Nguyen Tieu Poetry Festival; participated in the National Newspaper Festival and chaired the exhibition booth of the Northern Mountainous Provinces Journalists Association Emulation Cluster headed by the Thai Nguyen Provincial Journalists Association, which was awarded a certificate of impressive press exhibition booth; organized a training course on "Skills in organizing, implementing and creating high-quality press works" for nearly 40 members; published a book of high-quality press works in 2022; implemented Plan No. 73/KH-UBND on organizing the 1st Huynh Thuc Khang Press Award of Thai Nguyen province - 2024, a press award that press agencies, journalists, and members of the Provincial Journalists Association have been looking forward to for many years.

The delegation respectfully offered incense to commemorate the martyrs at the Nguyen Thai Hoc tomb relic and the soldiers in the Yen Bai uprising.

With the closeness and sharing in the Association's work for many years, he hopes that the two Associations will become increasingly close and exchange many experiences in the Association's activities, especially in organizing press awards when the Thai Nguyen Provincial Journalists Association is assigned as the standing agency to organize the first Huynh Thuc Khang Press Award of Thai Nguyen Province in 2024.

Before that, the delegation offered incense at the tomb of Nguyen Thai Hoc and the soldiers in the Yen Bai uprising in 1930. The relic was built by Yen Bai province in 2001, this is the resting place, marking the heroic spirit of sacrifice for the revolutionary movement of patriot Nguyen Thai Hoc and the soldiers in the early years of the 20th century. At the relic site, the comrades in the delegation of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Journalists Association respectfully offered incense at the Memorial of the martyrs who sacrificed in the Yen Bai uprising and came to burn incense at the graves of the martyrs.

Thac Ba Hydroelectric Plant was built at a very special time when the war in our country was still in its fierce stage.

The delegation also visited Thac Ba Hydropower Plant in Yen Bai Province, which is known as "Ha Long on the Mountain" and is one of the three largest artificial lakes in Vietnam formed when the Thac Ba Hydropower Plant was built. The lake is located in Yen Binh and Luc Yen districts. The lake covers nearly 20,000 hectares of water surface, including more than 1,300 large and small green islands, along with a system of beautiful caves hidden deep in the limestone mountains...
