Journalists Associations of provinces and cities along Highway 6 share experiences in improving the quality of activities

Speaking at the opening of the conference, journalist To Quang Phan, member of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Journalists Association, Editor-in-Chief of Citizen and Encouragement of Learning Magazine, Chairman of the Hanoi Journalists Association, said that in 2024, the Journalists Association of the Emulation Cluster of provinces and cities along Route 6 gathered, united, encouraged, and cheered on members and journalists to effectively propagate political tasks and achieved many achievements in professional activities.

Local Associations have made many innovations in their methods of operation, attracting a large number of members to participate; well organized emulation movements according to the characteristics of each unit and associated with political events, celebrating major holidays of provinces and cities and the milestone of the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day.

The press agencies in the Cluster have also made great efforts in innovating, grasping technology, improving content and form of expression through the construction of new pages, columns and programs. They have effectively contributed to the propaganda work, encouraging the people of the whole country, the ethnic minorities in the Northwest region and the capital Hanoi to implement the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's laws and policies.

The members of the Cluster always fulfill their assigned political tasks well, strictly comply with the provisions of the law on journalism, the Charter of the Association, the Regulations on professional ethics of journalists, the Rules for using social networks and the emulation movement "Building a cultural environment in press agencies and the culture of Vietnamese journalists" with 12 criteria issued by the Vietnam Journalists Association.

Sharing about the draft report summarizing the emulation work in 2024, the direction and tasks for 2025, journalist Kieu Thanh Hung - Permanent Vice President of the Hanoi Journalists Association said that in 2024, the Journalists Association in the Cluster completed the dossier to request the Vietnam Journalists Association to admit 25 members who are qualified reporters according to regulations. The entire Emulation Cluster currently has 1,477 members who have been granted membership cards of the Vietnam Journalists Association for the period 2021-2026.

The Journalists Association in the Emulation Cluster has coordinated with press agencies and the Center for Professional Development - Vietnam Journalists Association to organize many training courses, professional development, and improve professional qualifications and modern journalism skills for journalist officials and members.
