Mr. Lo Van Hoan - a worker at Na Say 1 Rubber Team, Tuan Giao Rubber Farm, Dien Bien Rubber Joint Stock Company (Dien Bien province) is a person with many initiatives to improve the efficiency of rubber care and latex harvesting, thereby contributing to the development of the enterprise and improving the quality of life of workers.
From being an unfamiliar industrial plant, in recent years, rubber trees have become one of the main trees of the Northwestern provinces, including Tuan Giao district, Dien Bien province. Mr. Hoan has also been attached to rubber trees for the past 15 years, since the day rubber trees were brought to the Northwestern region when he worked at the Na Say 1 Rubber Team.
Rubber is a new tree in Dien Bien province, and people generally have no experience in planting and caring for this tree. When joining the company when everything was "brand new", Mr. Hoan's first job was to diligently acquire new knowledge about rubber trees. In addition to learning from experts and colleagues, he also searched for documents, books, newspapers, and the internet to learn more about the life and habits of rubber trees, and experiences in planting and caring for rubber trees in other localities. Thanks to his responsibility for his work, the rubber gardens he takes care of are always green and lush, thereby producing high quality rubber latex. His friends and colleagues all love him because he is enthusiastic, dynamic, creative, dares to think, dares to do, dares to take responsibility for his work, and strictly follows the regulations of the unit. Besides, he is also a pioneer in training ethics, lifestyle, and style, willing to sacrifice personal interests to serve the interests of the collective, and is a factor creating solidarity in the unit.
Currently, Mr. Hoan is assigned by the unit to take care of, protect and exploit rubber latex. The total area that Na Say 1 Rubber Team has to take care of is 345.92 hectares. Thanks to the efforts of him and his fellow workers, the garden grows and develops stably, the density of trees and the thickness of the bark of the trees are uniform, ensuring effective latex harvesting. Every month, Mr. Hoan's garden harvests over 2.3 tons of rubber latex, bringing a stable income for himself and his colleagues. In addition to production work, he is always active in the unit's union activities, the movement activities of the union and the unit's youth union, always maintaining good relationships and always helping colleagues in difficulty.
In particular, every year, Mr. Hoan is always on the list of workers with the highest latex tapping output at the unit, tapping according to the correct technical process. From practical work, in 2021, he came up with a solution and initiative to save materials and equipment for the tapping garden by using white correction pens instead of using paint to mark on rubber trees. Using correction pens is 1.5 times faster and 1/3 cheaper than marking with paint, while still ensuring the parameters on the tree when accepting the work item. In October 2022, on the occasion of the 93rd anniversary of the tradition of the Vietnam Rubber Industry, Dien Bien Rubber Joint Stock Company organized the "Golden Hands for Rubber Latex Harvesting" Contest, Mr. Lo Van Hoan and 18 contestants representing 800 workers participated in the competition. As a result, he surpassed many other excellent contestants to win the First Prize.
In 2023, Mr. Hoan had another initiative to plant medicinal plants under the canopy of rubber trees, which not only limits the growth of the ground cover, reduces the number of workers clearing the ground cover every year in the garden, but also maintains the humidity of the garden, and reduces the risk of fire in the dry season. This initiative of his has saved a lot of costs and is highly economically effective. In his role as Deputy Head of the Trade Union, Mr. Lo Van Hoan was also recognized by the Vietnam Trade Union as an exemplary worker who is a member of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
