UN Tourism's International Conference on Rural Tourism in the top 10 typical events of the Culture, Sports and Tourism industry in 2024

Accordingly, the Hosting the first International Conference on Rural Tourism of the United Nations Tourism Organization (UN Tourism) in Quang Nam on December 10 has entered the top 10 typical cultural, sports and tourism events in 2024 in Vietnam.

This is a global conference, attracting the participation of more than 300 delegates from about 50 countries and territories around the world.

This is not only an event to promote the development of agricultural and rural tourism in Vietnam but also demonstrates the role, responsibility and prestige of Vietnam in international tourism organizations, thereby promoting the completion of sustainable tourism development goals of UN Tourism.

Top 10 typical cultural, sports and tourism events in 2024 as announced by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism:

1. The National Assembly approved the investment policy for the National Target Program on Cultural Development for the 2025 - 2035 period.

2. The National Assembly passed the Law on Cultural Heritage (amended), completing the legal corridor for the field of cultural heritage.

3. The Government issued two major plans on culture, sports and tourism, unleashing resources and creating a foundation for breakthroughs and development of the industry.

4. Series of cultural, sports and tourism events celebrating the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory

5. Vietnam has 2 more heritages recognized by UNESCO

6. Cultural industry makes breakthroughs with programs of great stature, appeal and social impact

7. First time promoting Vietnamese tourism and cinema in the United States

8. Vietnam tourism recovers strongly after the pandemic, welcoming about 17 million international tourists and 120 million domestic tourists.

9. Vietnam to host the United Nations Tourism Organization (UN Tourism) International Conference on Rural Tourism in 2024

10. The Vietnamese women's volleyball team won the world championship for the first time and the Asian championship for the second time.
