On the morning of May 30, the Emulation and Reward Council of Thanh Hoa province held its first regular meeting in 2024 to select collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements to propose for the Independence Medal, Labor Medal; Certificate of Merit of the Prime Minister; Emulation Flag of the Government and the Provincial People's Committee; Provincial Emulation Fighter in 2023; recognition of exemplary agencies, units, communes, wards and enterprises. Comrade Do Minh Tuan, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Chairman of the Emulation and Reward Council of the province chaired the meeting.

Attending the meeting were comrades: Pham Thi Thanh Thuy, member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee; Dau Thanh Tung, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and members of the Provincial Economic and Social Council.

At the meeting, representatives of the Provincial Steering Committee for Economic Affairs approved the list of collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements proposed to be awarded the Independence Medal, Labor Medal; Certificate of Merit of the Prime Minister; Emulation Flag of the Government, of the Provincial People's Committee; Provincial Emulation Fighter in 2023; recognition of exemplary agencies, units, communes, wards and enterprises.
Representatives of the Provincial Steering Committee for Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs approved the list of collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements proposed for awards.
Based on the list of proposed awards, delegates attending the meeting discussed and evaluated based on the criteria and regulations on considering meritorious deeds; thereby unanimously proposing to award the Second Class Independence Medal to two groups: Thanh Hoa Province Veterans Association; People and cadres of Tho Xuan District.
Propose to award the First Class Labor Medal to 1 individual and 3 groups. Of which 3 groups include: People and officials of Truong Son commune (Nong Cong); People and officials of Thanh Hoa city; People and officials of Phu Son ward (Thanh Hoa city).
Propose to award the Second Class Labor Medal to 3 collectives and 2 individuals; award the Third Class Labor Medal to 1 collective and 17 individuals.
Members of the Provincial Economic and Social Council also proposed to award Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister to 7 collectives and 47 individuals; Emulation Flags from the Government to 13 collectives; Emulation Flags from the Provincial People's Committee to 55 collectives; and the title of Provincial Emulation Fighter to 29 individuals.
The meeting also agreed to award the title of model agency and unit to 2 agencies and units and the title of model commune and ward to 5 units. It agreed to propose awarding the Labor Medal of various ranks; the Great Solidarity Medal and the Prime Minister's Certificate of Merit to a number of collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in Buddhist work, contributing to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and Chairman of the Provincial Economic and Cultural Council Do Minh Tuan basically agreed with the list of proposed awards; at the same time, gave specific opinions on a number of cases proposed for awards in this period.
Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Do Minh Tuan emphasized the viewpoint and motto in emulation and commendation work: Emulation must be widespread, practical, effective, avoid formalities and be linked to the political tasks of each locality, agency and unit. The commendation work must be implemented in accordance with regulations, impartially, objectively, transparently, and absolutely without negativity or self-interest.
"Proposing and rewarding accurately and promptly will have a positive impact on patriotic emulation activities, creating motivation for each organization and individual to strive to excellently complete their tasks, creating a widespread influence in the community," the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee stated.

In order to continue promoting the achieved results as well as avoid mistakes and shortcomings in the process of performing tasks, relevant units need to strictly implement the steps of the commendation proposal process right from the grassroots level.
