Accordingly, the British Council said that the two exams and certificates issued by the British Council, IELTS and Aptis, are international language proficiency assessments with high standards and recognized globally.

All IELTS and Aptis exams organized by this unit in Vietnam always ensure full compliance with strict international regulations and standards, which are applied consistently globally.

On May 9, 2024, the Ministry of Education and Training issued a notice on the validity of foreign language certificates issued by foreign organizations in Vietnam. Specifically, in 2023, the Department of Quality Management issued Official Dispatch No. 889 dated June 9, 2023 on instructions for verifying foreign language proficiency certificates and Official Dispatch No. 999 dated June 15, 2023 on the use of certificates to exempt foreign language tests in the 2023 High School Graduation Exam. Thus, foreign language proficiency certificates issued by affiliated exam-organizing units, when meeting quality assurance conditions, will continue to be used normally according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training on exams, admissions and training, without affecting the rights of certificate holders.

Therefore, all IELTS and Aptis certificates issued by the British Council in Vietnam are valid for domestic and international study and work purposes, as well as immigration abroad.
