Speak Up 2023 has the theme " Show the real you" and has a difference from previous seasons. In addition to demonstrating English skills, contestants must demonstrate their talents and passion.
In the first round, 6 contestants in the Super Juniors group transformed into their idols such as Steve Jobs, Taylor Swift... and presented their good qualities, from which they drew out useful and suitable things for themselves to convey to everyone. In the Smart Teens group, 6 contestants competed in the form of a presentation about a random image given by the organizers, related to prominent world issues such as peace, environmental pollution...
"You confidently expressed your opinions and sent meaningful messages through the photos you received," said a representative of the jury.

In the final night, the 12 contestants continued to make a strong impression on the judges and the audience with their performances of piano, violin, guitar, singing, dancing, stand-up comedy, coding, hosting, presenting... In particular, the judges highly appreciated Le Hoang Nguyen Khanh (12 years old) with his English stand-up comedy on the topic of Vietnamese Tet or his performance of the song You belong with me (Taylor Swift) by Huynh Hoang Oanh (10 years old). The children performed confidently and controlled the stage well.
"This year's competition is very grand, well-invested and elaborate. The quality of the contestants is also better than previous years. The topics in each round are very interesting and meaningful," commented Ms. Bui Thuy Vi - a parent whose child is studying at ILA.

After two rounds, the organizers selected the three highest-scoring contestants from each group to advance to the final round. This is a general knowledge round, measuring the contestants' understanding of European culture, world cuisine, famous buildings, 21st century technology, etc.
As a result, Dang Quang Huy (Smart Teens, 12 years old) and Le Phuong Bao Anh (Super Juniors, 10 years old) won the title of Champion. The two contestants will join ILA to study in the US, Singapore and Malaysia next summer to broaden their horizons, gain experience and develop their skills.
Quang Huy said he was very happy to win because he tried his best. In last year's competition, the male student stopped at the top 18. Therefore, in the 2023 season, he returned with a strong determination to win and achieved his goal.

Speak Up 2023 is an English competition organized by ILA Education Organization. This year, the competition attracted more than 3,000 contestants nationwide. In this playground, the winner can explore and express their passion, while at the same time, inspiring the community.
Ms. Pham Hoang Uyen - Director of Examinations for Southeast Asia, Australia, Japan, and Korea of Cambridge University shared that after two years as a judge for the competition, she was impressed by the English proficiency, presentation skills, and artistic talents of the young people.
"ILA Speak Up 2023 helps students develop their English proficiency and many soft skills such as presentations, public speaking, confidence on stage... These are extremely necessary things in the 21st century," she added.
