Kinhtedothi - On the afternoon of November 19, Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics held a ceremony to celebrate the 42nd anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day (November 20, 1982 - November 20, 2024) and honor outstanding teachers.
Attending the ceremony were Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang - Member of the Politburo, Director of the Academy, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council; Prof. Dr. Ta Ngoc Tan, former member of the Party Central Committee, former Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics; representatives of leaders of relevant units.
On the Hanoi side, the ceremony was attended by Permanent Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Van Phong and representatives of relevant units.
Speaking at the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang highlighted the important achievements of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics in 75 years of establishment and development. At the same time, he said that the 42nd anniversary of Vietnam Teachers' Day of the Academy has many differences, especially the contributions of generations of teachers and students to the noble cause of teaching and fostering political theory.
According to Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang, 2024 is a school year with many new features as the Academy has just celebrated its 75th anniversary of establishment and development. This is a school year of comprehensive innovation in all aspects, focusing on training, fostering and synchronous completion of political theory education from elementary to advanced levels.
From the above practice, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang suggested that teachers of the Academy must innovate the teaching of political theory to make it attractive, inspiring, and motivating for students through each lecture. In particular, not only updating knowledge, innovating teaching methods of theory but also increasing interaction with students to deepen practice. This helps students improve their leadership, direction and handling of situations in practice.
Regarding the upcoming tasks, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang said that along with the process of preparing documents for the 14th National Party Congress, the Academy's teaching staff must soon update and have a plan to complete the curriculum for teaching immediately after the Congress ends.
Emphasizing that 2025 will have many important events for the country such as the 50th anniversary of the complete liberation of the South and the reunification of the country, the 100th anniversary of the Party's founding, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang said that the Academy needs to identify its important responsibilities, especially contributing to the completion of the draft documents of the 14th Congress.
Sharing about the opportunities and challenges of the country when entering a new era, an era of rising up as recently directed by General Secretary To Lam, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang emphasized the Party's policy of rearranging the organizational apparatus as well as the political system to avoid waste in all aspects. In that spirit, the participation of scientists and lecturers in researching and creatively applying the Party's innovation policy in a practical and strong direction is of great significance. Thus, the new Academy is worthy of being a party school named after President Ho Chi Minh.
Previously, on the occasion of the 42nd anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day (November 20, 1982 - November 20, 2024), on behalf of the leaders of Hanoi City, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Nguyen Van Phong presented flower baskets and sent best wishes to the staff and lecturers of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics.
