According to information from Lao Cai City Police, the authorities are completing documents to send 18/19 people who tested positive for drugs on the 16-seat Ford Transit, license plate 90B-002.35 parked at the welcome gate of Dong Pho Moi Industrial Park (Group 4, Lao Cai Ward) to compulsory drug rehabilitation.

As reported by Lao Cai Newspaper, on the evening of June 21, the professional teams of Lao Cai City Police (Drug Crime Investigation Police Team, Traffic Police - Order Team) coordinated with Lao Cai Ward Police to conduct a surprise inspection of a 16-seat Ford Transit car, license plate 90B - 002.35, parked at the welcome gate of Dong Pho Moi Industrial Park (Group 4, Lao Cai Ward).
Through inspection, it was found that all subjects in the car showed signs of drug use. The authorities conducted a quick test and discovered that 19 people in the car (including the driver) were all positive for drugs.

By the afternoon of June 22, the identities of 19 subjects had been verified and clarified.
According to the initial statement of driver Doan Van Manh (born in 1981), residing in Nhan Binh commune, Ly Nhan district, Ha Nam province, the remaining 18 subjects are all from different provinces, such as Yen Bai, Lai Chau, Tuyen Quang and Lao Cai... and are working as hired porters in some industrial parks or the Lao Cai International Border Gate area. Every day, the subjects are hired by the guard named G. in a car to take them from Ban Phiet commune, Bao Thang district to warehouses or Kim Thanh Road II International Border Gate to hire out goods, and in the evening, the car picks them up and returns them to their residential area.

Currently, Lao Cai City Police have brought the subjects to a drug rehabilitation facility in the province for management, and at the same time, coordinated with relevant agencies to urgently complete procedures and documents to send 18 subjects to compulsory drug rehabilitation according to regulations.
As for Vu. HQ (born in 1984), residing in Duyen Hai ward, Lao Cai city, he has a medical record and is currently undergoing treatment, so he has not been sent to drug rehabilitation for the time being, but has been handed over to his family for management and treatment.
