After winning 2-0 with Hanoi Police against Hanoi FC in round 3 of V-League 2023-2024, Coach Tran Tien Dai suddenly shared behind-the-scenes stories about bonuses.
Mr. Dai said that after winning the 2023 V-League championship, the coaching staff and players of CAHN only received a bonus of 5 billion VND from the tournament organizers. The fact that the club did not give a separate bonus shocked the team members. According to him, this is unprecedented, and can be considered part of the reason why CAHN had a difficult start to the season.
"We use every psychological method for the players, appealing to their compassion because they are the pillars of the family," Mr. Dai proactively mentioned in a press conference after the match at Hang Day Stadium on the evening of November 3. "Hopefully, the team's leaders will change their perspective so that the players can play more focused."

After CAHN was promoted to play in V-League 2023, Mr. Tran Tien Dai was brought in as Technical Director. His job is to build the club to meet the professional criteria of the Asian Football Confederation. In the final round, he was appointed as interim coach after the club changed foreign coaches twice. In this match, CAHN tied Thanh Hoa 1-1 at Hang Day Stadium, just enough to win the championship.
Despite the reinforcements, CAHN did not start this season smoothly. They missed the National Super Cup when they lost 1-3 to Thanh Hoa and then drew 1-1 with Binh Dinh in the opening match of the V-League. However, the team backed by Mr. Thuy then won 3-0 on the field of HAGL and defeated runner-up Hanoi FC.
From round 4, Mr. Dai had to give up his seat to Gong Oh-kyun - former coach of U23 Vietnam. He hopes that the Korean coach will help the team play with order, have more tactical skills and a higher fighting spirit.

The 2-0 victory over Hanoi FC helped CAHN rise to second place in the table with seven points, two points behind Nam Dinh. Mr. Dai said that this result helped the home team relieve the players' psychology, especially in the context of many key players being injured such as Quang Hai, Doan Van Hau, Phan Van Duc. "We are lucky, but we have not played convincingly," he admitted. "CAHN is not the strongest team. The strongest team is the 2023-2024 V-League champion."
Mr. Dai used to be a player for Ho Chi Minh City Police but was often on the bench. After retiring, he became one of the first and most famous player brokers in Vietnam. He then became a businessman and then a sports manager. During his career, he was the Executive Director of Ninh Binh Club in 2010 and Xuan Thanh Saigon in 2012-2013. In 2018, he held the position of Chairman of Saigon FC, but left after only half a year. All three clubs are no longer active.
