Having just finished the match with U.17 Japan, the U.17 Vietnam players mainly practiced recovery in the gym and relaxed in the swimming pool. In the afternoon practice session on June 22, the team started practicing tactics to prepare for the match with U.17 Uzbekistan.
Coach Hoang Anh Tuan expressed his satisfaction when his players practiced very enthusiastically. The most concerned issue was the team's mentality after the heavy 0-4 loss to U.17 Japan in the second round. However, the coaching staff did the mental work to make the players very comfortable before entering the crucial match against the Central Asian team.
U.17 Vietnam actively practices towards the decisive match
The head of the U.17 Vietnam delegation shared: "Before the match against U.17 Uzbekistan, in general, the U.17 Vietnam players had a relaxed spirit and mentality. After the tactical meeting on the morning of June 22, the whole team was determined to win.
Also, in the previous match, when they were 4 goals down, the coaching staff encouraged the players not to care about the score anymore and to play comfortably with their best ability. In the past two days, the whole team has been relaxed so their spirit is more comfortable. U.17 Vietnam has forgotten the previous match and is completely focused on the next match."
Head coach Hoang Anh Tuan and the coaching staff always encourage the players' spirit.
The match between U.17 Vietnam and U.17 Uzbekistan will take place at 7:00 p.m. on June 23 at Thammasat Stadium. If U.17 Vietnam wins and U.17 Japan does not lose to U.17 India, coach Hoang Anh Tuan's team will enter the quarterfinals as second place in Group D.
