On September 25, after the flood waters receded, Thanh Hoa City Police, Thanh Hoa Province mobilized forces to clean up and sanitize the environment on roads and residential areas and support the people of Thieu Duong and Thieu Khanh wards to overcome the consequences of the flood and soon stabilize their lives.

In recent days, due to heavy rain and flood discharge from hydroelectric reservoirs, many communes, wards and towns in Thanh Hoa province have been flooded and isolated, including Thieu Duong and Thieu Khanh wards in Thanh Hoa city. Hundreds of households living in the area outside the dike have been flooded; many households were forced to evacuate from flooded areas to safe places.
After many days of being submerged in floodwaters, the water has now gradually receded. People have begun to clean up their houses and gardens, overcoming the consequences of storms and floods to soon stabilize their lives.

To support people in overcoming the consequences of storms and floods, Thanh Hoa City Police have not been afraid of difficulties and hardships, organizing forces and means to implement the motto of "four on-site", "three ready", upholding the sense of responsibility "Serving the People"; proactively coordinating with functional forces in localities to organize cleaning and environmental sanitation in residential areas; clearing tree branches and mud on roads to ensure smooth traffic, safety and aesthetics.

The Youth Union of Thanh Hoa City Police mobilized members and young people to coordinate with the authorities, sectors, and organizations of Thieu Duong and Thieu Khanh wards to clean up, sanitize the environment, and rearrange tables and chairs at the Cultural House and schools in the area so that students can go to school soon.

In addition, the Thanh Hoa City Police force continues to be on duty, on duty, and on command with other functional forces ready to handle situations arising after floods, coordinating with the government and benefactors to support food, medicine for people in areas still flooded.
According to statistics from the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa City, floods have affected 12 wards and communes with 3,946 households and 14,220 people living in the area outside the dike affected by floods. Of which, 31 streets and villages were flooded (14 streets and villages were completely or mostly flooded; 17 streets and villages were partially flooded). The most deeply flooded wards and communes were: Thieu Khanh (3 villages with more than 400 households); Thieu Duong (7 villages with more than 1,661 households). In the past few days, the functional forces of Thanh Hoa City have organized the evacuation of 452 households, with 996 people in high-risk areas in 12 wards and communes to safe areas; and on-site evacuation of 6,265 people (from low-lying areas to high-lying areas in the flooded areas). The floods have submerged 642.2 hectares of unharvested rice fields in Ham Rong and Thieu Duong wards, Hoang Quang and Hoang Dai communes; and affected 132.34 hectares of aquaculture areas outside the dike. |
