Recognizing the significance and importance of Project 8 on "Implementing gender equality and solving urgent issues for women and children" under the National Target Program on socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas for the period 2021-2030 for ethnic minority women and children, the Women's Union of Tan Son district has directed all levels of women's unions in the area to deploy propaganda for the policy dialogue program, aiming to provide information, knowledge, and connect to support each other in development.

Comrade Dinh Thi Thu Hien said: “One of the contents that the Association has implemented early and effectively is to organize policy dialogue conferences between local Party committees and authorities with women members. These conferences are organized at the commune and village level and have attracted a large number of members and people to participate.
The content of the conferences focused on clarifying the current situation and issues that women are concerned about, especially ethnic minority women, as well as the implementation of gender equality in the locality in recent times. From there, timely solutions were proposed to overcome difficulties and continue to promote the role, position and potential of women in the coming time.
In 2024, the District Women's Union organized 5 policy dialogue training courses according to the policy dialogue manual at commune clusters for more than 400 delegates. Organized 24/32 policy dialogues, the content of the policy dialogue focused on socio-economic topics, gender equality, issues related to women and children in the locality at present with the participation of more than 2,060 cadres, members, and women in the communes implementing the Project.
A number of programs were organized with the following topics: "Women participating in economic development and community tourism in Long Coc commune, Tan Son district"; "Promoting gender equality and promoting the role of women in socio-economic development"; "Credit implementation in the commune",... There were 66 direct comments expressing the thoughts, feelings and aspirations of members and women, focusing mainly on the following groups of issues: The Party Committee and government creating conditions for women to promote their role in building new rural areas; local solutions to support women in participating in economic development, sustainable poverty reduction, health insurance and social insurance...
The Women's Union of Kiet Son commune organized a policy dialogue conference with the theme: Promoting the role of women in socio-economic development.
The opinions and recommendations of members and women were received and responded to directly by the leaders of the Party Committee, local authorities, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and the Commune Women's Union, and received high consensus from the women members. The District Women's Union coordinated with the District Center for Culture, Sports, Tourism and Communications to organize 8 training courses on skills to support cadres, members and female leaders of residential areas to participate in community activities (people's meetings, contact with voters of elected representatives in the area, contributing ideas to build the political system) for more than 800 women and people to participate.
The beneficiaries of the project are women and children in particularly difficult communes and villages, with priority given to ethnic minority women and girls in poor and near-poor households, victims of trafficking, domestic violence, sexual abuse, unsafe labor migration (returning from marriages abroad), women with disabilities, etc. To achieve this goal, the District Women's Union has coordinated with the Party Committee, authorities, and relevant units to develop a project implementation plan, organize training courses, promote and establish models according to the content of Project 8...
Organizing policy dialogues has created opportunities for women members in the district to express their thoughts and aspirations to the Party Committee and government and to listen directly to answers to issues of concern. Through the dialogue program, the Party's guidelines, policies and laws of the State have been disseminated to women members. Creating consensus among women members to continue to promote their role in socio-economic development in the locality.
