Consultation to elect 397 members of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, 10th term

In the working session on the afternoon of October 17, the 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front conducted consultations to elect the 10th Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the 2024-2029 term.

On behalf of the Presidium, Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (9th tenure) Truong Thi Ngoc Anh presented the Report on the number and structure of participants in the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, 10th tenure.

Based on the Proposal, the Congress approved the number of members of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the 10th term, 2024 - 2029, including 405 members, including 72 members of the Presidium, 6 members of the Standing Committee and 8 non-professional Vice Chairmen. At the Congress, delegates voted to elect 397 members to join the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the 10th term, 2024 - 2029, 8 members will be supplemented during the term.

Of which, there are 51 heads of member organizations (an increase of 4 people compared to the IX term); 63 Chairmen of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of provinces and centrally run cities (equal to the IX term); 273 outstanding individuals (an increase of 15 people compared to the IX term); 53 representatives of ethnic minorities (equal to the IX term), the structure is sufficient to represent 53 ethnic minorities; 53 representatives of religious dignitaries (equal to the IX term), the structure is sufficient to represent 16 religions and religious organizations with many followers recognized by the State; 50 representatives of economic sectors (an increase of 7 people compared to the IX term); 18 Vietnamese people residing abroad (an increase of 1 person compared to the IX term), the structure of Vietnamese people residing abroad represents 5 continents.

The full-time staff of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front has 18 people (an increase of 1 person compared to the 9th term), specifically: The Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front has 6 people (equal to the 9th term); heads of departments and units under the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front have 12 people (an increase of 1 person compared to the 9th term), with a full structure of 10 departments, specialized units and 2 public service units (Center for Cadre Training and Scientific Research of the Front; Front Magazine).

Combined structure: Non-Party: 203 people (50.1%); women: 89 people (21.9%); ethnic minorities: 103 people (25.4%); religion: 69 people (17%); university degree or higher: 327 people (80.7%).

In terms of age: 43 people (10.8%) were under 40 years old; 190 people (47.9%) were between 41 and 60 years old; 164 people (41.3%) were between 61 and over. The youngest person was born in 2004 (currently 20 years old, Ms. Thi Ha, a representative of the S'Tieng ethnic group, Phu Nghia commune, Bu Gia Map district, Binh Phuoc province); the oldest person was born in 1934 (90 years old, Thai Dau Su Tran Duc Tang, Head of the Standing Committee of the Cao Dai Minh Chon Dao Holy See).

Immediately after conducting consultations to elect the 10th Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the 2024-2029 term, the 10th Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front held its first conference.

On Friday, October 18, the 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the 2024-2029 term will hold its closing session. At the closing session, the Congress Presidium will report on the results of the 1st Conference of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the 10th term and introduce the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the 10th term, 2024-2029 term.
