Hau Giang introduces personnel to be elected as Provincial Party Secretary

Kinhtedothi - Hau Giang Provincial Party Committee organized a meeting of the Provincial Party Executive Committee to carry out the process of introducing and electing the position of Secretary of Hau Giang Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

After listening to the leaders of the Provincial Party Committee's Organizing Committee approve the Proposal of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee on the election of the Provincial Party Secretary for the 2020-2025 term and being informed of the requirements for the election work, the members of the Executive Committee of the Hau Giang Provincial Party Committee voted to elect the Provincial Party Secretary for the 2020-2025 term for Mr. Dong Van Thanh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

As a result, 100% of delegates agreed to introduce and elect Mr. Thanh to the position of Secretary of Hau Giang Provincial Party Committee.

The Executive Committee of the Hau Giang Provincial Party Committee voted to elect Mr. Dong Van Thanh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, as Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

Speaking at the Conference, Mr. Tran Van Huyen - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Hau Giang province emphasized that allowing Hau Giang province to elect the Provincial Party Secretary for the 2020-2025 term from local cadres is the Central's recognition of the efforts and achievements of the Provincial Party Committee in leading and directing the implementation of political tasks during this term. Especially the contribution of Mr. Dong Van Thanh to the comprehensive development of the province in the fields of socio-economy, national defense and security in recent times.

Mr. Dong Van Thanh was born on June 24, 1969; hometown Nhon Ai commune, Phong Dien district, Can Tho city; bachelor's degree in sociology, advanced degree in political theory.

During his career, Mr. Dong Van Thanh held the positions of Chief of Office of Chau Thanh A District Party Committee, Vice Chairman of Chau Thanh A District People's Committee, Deputy Chief of Office of Hau Giang Provincial Party Committee, Chief of Office of Hau Giang Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of Hau Giang Provincial People's Committee, and Permanent Vice Chairman of Hau Giang Provincial People's Committee.
