The 2024 Ha Tinh Orange and Agricultural Products Festival will take place from November 15-17 at Tran Phu Square, Ha Tinh City. The festival will feature 100 booths with more than 100 businesses, cooperatives, production and trading households from 13 localities and provincial departments, branches and mass organizations.

This is an annual event to promote Ha Tinh orange specialties with many famous orange growing areas such as Huong Khe, Vu Quang, Thuong Loc, Son Mai. Participating in this year's festival are many "famous" orange gardens, produced according to VietGAP processes, organic with clear traceability stamps such as: Xuan Hoa oranges, Hoai Luan oranges, Bao Phuong oranges, Yen Son oranges...

Mr. Cao Minh Nhat - Nhat Hang General Production and Trading Cooperative (Loc Yen Commune, Huong Khe District), said: "This year, we continue to bring Huong Khe orange specialties to tourists near and far with the hope of continuing to expand the consumption market. It was great to welcome regular customers who bought oranges from previous orange festivals as soon as we arrived. This year's orange season's output is not as high as last year's, but the quality of the oranges is better, the fruit is big, beautiful and sweet, hopefully this year's sales will be higher."

Along with oranges, the Festival introduces OCOP products, typical rural industrial products, and specialties of the province such as: Honey, deer antlers, fish sauce, turmeric starch, agarwood, dried seafood, rice with crabs, ham, etc. A variety of specialty products of the province are displayed, the Orange Festival and Ha Tinh products in 2024, attracting a large number of people to visit and shop.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong (Nguyen Du Ward, Ha Tinh City) shared: "Every year when there is an orange festival, we often come here to visit. The products at the festival are of guaranteed quality and have labels with traceability of origin, so we feel secure. Moreover, through this occasion, I also learn more about many local specialties."

Customers can easily "check" product information and production facilities through QR codes to trace the origin of the products. Taking full advantage of the opportunities brought by the festival, business owners actively introduce customers to information and product characteristics so that consumers can access their products. Business owners expect that this festival will increase the consumption of goods, contributing to enhancing the image and position of local products.

The 2024 Ha Tinh Orange and Products Festival is an annual activity to introduce, promote and consume oranges and products and specialties of Ha Tinh to domestic and foreign consumers. After 6 years of implementation, the festival has created a spread, attracting the attention and positive response of businesses, cooperatives, production facilities and a large number of consumers inside and outside the province.

The province currently has 166 products recognized as typical rural industrial products at the provincial, regional and national levels; 282 products are recognized as OCOP products with 3 stars or more. These are products with strengths and potential to develop production, expand markets, and meet the needs of domestic and foreign consumers.

Talking to Dan Viet reporter, Mr. Dau Khac Manh - Director of An Phu Beekeeping Cooperative (Vu Quang district), said: "This year is the 5th year the Cooperative has participated in the orange festival. We bring to the festival 2 products of the Cooperative that have received 3-star OCOP certification, including honey and honey soaked with male papaya flowers. With favorable weather and the weekend, we hope that many people and tourists will come to visit and buy the products of the Cooperative as well as other establishments."
The total orange growing area in Ha Tinh province is over 7,339 hectares (of which the fruiting area is over 6,104 hectares with a yield of about 114 quintals/hectare, total output is 69,585 tons/year). Up to now, 115 orange production facilities have been granted VietGAP certification with an area of over 680 hectares and the area of plants certified to meet organic standards is nearly 80 hectares.
