Danang Airlines wins big at fireworks final

On July 13, Da Nang International Airport said that on July 12, the number of flights to the city increased by more than 30% compared to weekdays.

Accordingly, during the 3 days of July 11-13, before and during the final night of the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival 2024 (DIFF 22024), the total number of flights to Da Nang is estimated at 455.

Notably, before the final night of DIFF 2024 (July 12), there were 159 flights to Da Nang, an increase of 30-40% compared to weekdays.

The final night of the 2024 Da Nang International Fireworks Festival will take place on the evening of July 12.

Not only airlines increased flights, but the occupancy rate at hotels in Da Nang also reached a high level.

According to statistics from Mustgo, an online booking platform with more than 250 hotel partners in Da Nang, room occupancy in the city, especially near fireworks, is approximately 100%.

Passengers arriving at Da Nang International Airport increased during the fireworks days.

Typically, hotels near the Han River such as Novotel Danang Premier Han River and Wyndham Golden Bay Da Nang have reached 100% occupancy and have been fully booked very early.

Up to now, most hotels about 4km from the shooting site are also short of rooms.

According to statistics from the Da Nang Department of Tourism, in the previous 4 nights of DIFF alone, the total number of guests served by accommodation establishments reached 268,592 (an increase of 11.9% over the same period of DIFF 2023).

Citywide room occupancy rates reached 70-77% on event nights thanks to increased frequency and capacity of flights to Da Nang during the peak summer tourist season.

Not only hotel rooms, fireworks viewing activities on cruise ships also become exciting during DIFF nights.

In the 4th competition night and the final competition night, the Da Nang tourist ship's capacity is expected to reach 100%, serving 2,439 guests.

A representative of Sun Group, the co-organizer of the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival, said that the total number of tickets for the final night distributed to the market is 10,000 tickets and the total number of tickets for the 5 competition nights is 50,000 tickets.

This year, the total number of DIFF tickets nearly doubled compared to last year, but the stands were all filled, especially the tickets for the final night were sold out 3 weeks ago.
