Khanh Hoa and Dak Lak provinces cooperate in tourism in 5 fields

Great potential for tourism development linkage

On August 18, in Nha Trang City, Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Tourism coordinated with Dak Lak Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to organize a conference on tourism development cooperation between the two provinces for the period 2023 - 2025.

Speaking at the opening of the conference, Mr. Le Huu Hoang, Permanent Vice Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, said that Khanh Hoa and Dak Lak are two localities that converge many factors to link tourism development with cultural characteristics with distinct identities, unique festivals, and diverse typical tourism products.

“Khanh Hoa province has strengths in sea and island tourism with a series of long, attractive beaches, beautiful bays, international-class beach resorts, diverse and high-quality sea tourism products. Meanwhile, Dak Lak province has strengths in mountain and forest ecotourism with many famous mountain, waterfall and lake ecotourism areas and spots, majestic landscapes, primeval forests with unique, vast and poetic ecosystems.

At the same time, both localities are developing other types of complementary tourism products such as entertainment tourism, community tourism, spiritual and cultural tourism, medical tourism, adventure tourism, etc. Besides, there are favorable conditions for road traffic connection between the two provinces, especially the Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot expressway which is being invested in and will be put into operation in the near future," said Mr. Hoang.

Mr. Le Huu Hoang, Permanent Vice Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, assessed that the two provinces have many factors to link up to develop tourism.

At the conference, the two localities introduced and informed about their unique features and typical tourism products. In addition, businesses of the two provinces also introduced the Buon Ma Thuot - Nha Trang "Great Forest Connecting the Ocean" tour, tourist attractions, products and services for tourists, tour programs between the two localities, etc.

Many solutions to connect "sea" and "forest"

Localities and businesses have also proposed a number of solutions to effectively exploit the content of tourism development linkage between Khanh Hoa and Dak Lak.

Mr. Hoang Van Vinh, Chairman of Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Tourism Association, said that in recent times, the two localities have taken advantage of their different geographical and natural conditions for businesses to connect and re-exploit tourist routes and destinations, restore tourism chains according to the criteria of "One trip, 2 destinations", and develop the "forest and sea" tourism brand in the direction of "green and safe".

Tourism businesses of the two localities have linked and cooperated to build many promotional programs in many forms, improving service quality to serve tourists; tourism associations of the two localities also regularly coordinate to promote tourism potential, activities, events...

According to Mr. Vinh, in the coming time, it is necessary to coordinate closely to implement the domestic tourism stimulus program; improve the quality of tourism promotion publications, videos, and destination image clips. At the same time, strengthen propaganda and promotion of Dak Lak - Khanh Hoa tourism stimulus packages on the websites of the two localities; apply information technology to tourism promotion; build a database of local tourism products and services to support information search in the cluster.

In addition, mobilize service and tourism businesses in the two localities to commit to improving the quality of services for tourists, and give each other discount policies on tourism services. Survey, design and build a special sea and mountain resort tour between Khanh Hoa - Dak Lak...

Ms. Nguyen Tran Thuy Tien, Director of Fami Tourism Company Limited, General Secretary of Khanh Hoa Tourism Association, said that after the programs signed between the two provinces, there should be joint activities, meetings, and specific exchanges to build tour programs and connecting routes. At the same time, there should be preferential policies for members of the Association to support each other, prioritize the use of services of members; create connecting and linking groups...

Meanwhile, Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Anh, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors and Director of Kotam Community Tourism Joint Stock Company, said that the tourism industry of the two provinces needs to promote tourism linkages, especially linkages to attract tourists from the North and international tourists to travel on the Dak Lak - Khanh Hoa route.

In addition, businesses and associations of the two localities also proposed a number of measures such as stimulating demand for Khanh Hoa people to travel to Dak Lak and vice versa; adding cultural tourism products and services to serve tourists...

Businesses contributed ideas and proposed what needs to be done to link tourism between the two provinces of Khanh Hoa and Dak Lak.

Cooperation in tourism in 5 areas

At the conference, the two localities exchanged a memorandum of understanding on tourism development cooperation between the Department of Tourism of Khanh Hoa province and the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dak Lak province. The content of tourism cooperation between the two localities focuses mainly on 5 areas: Cooperation in the field of State management; cooperation in tourism product development; cooperation in tourism promotion and advertising; cooperation in calling for investment; cooperation in training and fostering tourism human resources.

On this occasion, Bazan Xanh Travel Service Trading Company Limited (Dak Lak) and Ana Marina Nha Trang Joint Stock Company (Khanh Hoa) signed a cooperation contract on connecting tours and tourism routes; Phu Xuan Construction Company Limited, Elephants Hotel (Dak Lak) and Viet Promotion Service and Tourism Company Limited (Khanh Hoa) signed a cooperation contract on resort services.

Speaking at the conference, Ms. H'Yim Kđoh, Vice Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee, suggested that after this conference, the tourism sector of the two provinces must develop a specific action program on tourism linkage. In particular, it is necessary to develop high-quality tours and special tourism routes; promotional activities to attract domestic and international visitors to the two provinces.

“We really hope to receive support from Khanh Hoa province in tourism linkage. How can we make international visitors to Khanh Hoa continue to Dak Lak, so that the international community can know more about Dak Lak,” said Ms. H'Yim Kđoh.
