Two Phu Yen students won second prize in the Green Voice contest

Vo The Dung and Le Dinh Bao Ngoc (students of Luong Van Chanh High School for the Gifted, Phu Yen) have just won second prize in the 2023 Green Voice debate contest.
The 2023 Green Voice debate competition organized by Vingroup took place from February 24 to March 24 with the participation of 201 contestants nationwide. Surpassing 118 teams at 2 competition locations in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City in the confrontation round, the Mam Choi La team with 2 students Vo The Dung and Le Dinh Bao Ngoc (11th grade students majoring in chemistry, Luong Van Chanh High School for the Gifted, Phu Yen) entered the top 16 teams to compete in the ranking round in Hanoi. Through the rounds, The Dung and Bao Ngoc excellently won the second prize in the 2023 Green Voice debate competition season 1, and received the Green Future scholarship worth 2.3 billion VND from VinUni University for the second place team.
The Dung and Bao Ngoc won second prize in the Green Voice debate and eloquence contest and received a scholarship of 2.3 billion VND.

In the competition, The Dung and Bao Ngoc introduced the idea of "Green Roofs", proposing to cover part or all of the roof with simple plants but bringing many benefits. Green roofs will help reduce the amount of heat absorbed into the building, reduce the need for air conditioning and save energy, while absorbing CO2 , reducing air pollution and the urban heat island phenomenon. Mr. Huynh Tan Chau, Principal of Luong Van Chanh High School for the Gifted (Phu Yen), shared: "I am really happy that my students have achieved high results in the Green Voice debate competition. The two students' creative ideas promise to transform concrete roofs into green lungs for the city in the future".
Four excellent teams competed for the highest position on the evening of March 24, including the English team: LifeSphere team and The Storm team; the Vietnamese team: Nam Cao team and Mam Choi La team. As a result, Nam Cao team and LifeSphere team won the championship of the "Green Voice" competition. Nam Cao team, including Do Phuc Nhat Minh (Vinschool Smart City, Hanoi) and Ngo Tri Dung (Vinschool The Harmony, Hanoi) presented the idea of using two raw materials: coffee grounds and "Fungal Mycelia" super mushroom to synthesize a new material to replace natural leather and PU leather for the production of car interiors. LifeSphere team, including Pham Bang An (Foreign Language High School, Hanoi) and Nguyen Tran Minh Khue (Chu Van An High School, Hanoi) with the initiative "Nano-Pods - Innovative Solution", a green mobile clinic model. Second prize went to Mam Choi La team, The Storm team with 2 students Pham Ngan Ha, Nguyen Ngoc Linh (Vinschool Smart City, Hanoi).
