Today, December 25, the People's Committee of Hai Ha district organized the handover of the Decision on allocating marine farming areas to 8 households and individuals in Quang Minh commune. These are the first households in the district to be granted the Decision on allocating marine farming areas.
Accordingly, the water surface area licensed for households to cultivate has an area from 9,000m2 to less than 1ha; the term of assignment is within 10 years. These households are the livelihood subjects assigned the sea area without collecting water surface fees according to the provisions in Point a, Clause 2, Article 44, Law on Fisheries.
Immediately after handing over the Decision on allocating marine farming areas to 8 households in Quang Minh commune, Hai Ha district assigned the Department of Natural Resources and Environment and Cai Chien commune to hand over the field markers of the marine farming area to 8 households and individuals in Zone 4, Cai Chien commune. This is 1 of 6 marine farming areas planned by Hai Ha district for marine aquaculture in the district until 2023, with a vision to 2045, and has been integrated into the Provincial Planning according to Decision No. 80/QD-TTg dated February 11, 2023 of the Prime Minister.
According to the rules According to the plan, the total area of marine aquaculture in Hai Ha district is 2,570 hectares and is divided into 6 areas belonging to 2 communes of Quang Minh and Cai Chien. Of which, area 3 is located in the area from 3 to 6 nautical miles with a total area of about 743 hectares, which is arranged by Hai Ha district to attract investors. The remaining 5 areas are all located in the 3 nautical mile area under the authority of the district and are arranged by the district to be assigned to households, cooperatives, and units in the area for marine farming.
