Speaking emphasizing the significance of the 2025 Tree Planting Festival, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Ngoc Chau affirmed that the Tree Planting Festival has become a widespread mass movement, a beautiful feature in the culture of the Vietnamese people every time Tet comes and spring comes; it is beneficial to the country and the family, and contributes to preserving the landscape, creating a green - clean - beautiful environment for the homeland and country.
Especially, in the current period, when Hai Duong province is aiming for green, smart and modern development, the spring tree planting movement is even more meaningful. The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested localities to synchronously, seriously, practically and effectively implement the Tet tree planting plan.

This year, the Provincial People's Committee launched the "Tet tree planting festival to forever remember Uncle Ho" simultaneously throughout the province on February 13.
At the launching ceremony, provincial leaders planted 60 large pine trees (4-5m high, 10-15cm in diameter) symbolizing the 60th anniversary of Uncle Ho's visit to Con Son and 300 small pine trees were planted by the organizing committee at the Con Son relic site.
This year, Hai Duong province aims to plant nearly 700,000 scattered trees and forest trees of all kinds. What is new this year is that Hai Duong not only plants scattered trees like last year but also promotes forest planting to restore forest areas damaged by storm No. 3. Specifically, the whole province strives to plant 290,000 scattered trees; 163.4 hectares of post-exploitation forest (260,000 trees) and more than 255 hectares of replacement forest (148,000 trees).
According to the allocation target, Chi Linh City was assigned to plant the most with 270,000 trees, followed by the Provincial Forest Management Board with 148,000 trees, Kinh Mon town with 42,000 trees, and the remaining districts and cities each with 15,000 - 35,000 trees.
