In order to effectively collect and store water, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Hai Duong requested the People's Committees of districts, cities, towns, and enterprises exploiting irrigation works to continue to implement plans to collect and store water in accordance with actual water sources and water discharge schedules from hydroelectric reservoirs. Proactively take advantage of the time when the water level on the main river system is high, ensuring quality to actively collect water and store water in the canal system to serve the irrigation period. Kinh Mon town speeds up the progress of collecting water for flooding in accordance with the planting plan and local cropping season structure.

For localities, units that take water directly from the external river system continue to make the most of tidal peaks to take water and store water in the main canal system. It is necessary to regularly monitor salinity and saltwater intrusion at water intakes from external rivers to proactively take water into the fields to ensure quality.
