Hanoi requires units and localities not to neglect epidemic prevention and control

Faced with the increasing trend of many diseases such as dengue fever, hand, foot and mouth disease, Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh has issued an official dispatch directing functional units and localities of Hanoi to proactively strengthen the implementation of disease prevention and control work in the area.

Accordingly, the leaders of Hanoi City requested units not to be negligent or lose vigilance, and to continue to strictly implement the directions of the Government and the Prime Minister in disease prevention and control. Districts, towns and cities are fully responsible for the prevention and control of Covid-19 and other infectious diseases such as dengue fever, hand, foot and mouth disease, etc., to prevent outbreaks in their management areas; strengthen communication work on disease prevention and control, especially dengue fever, which is on the rise, focusing on information and instructions on how to recognize early symptoms of the disease.

Localities step up propaganda to prevent dengue fever

Treatment facilities should organize well the examination, classification, referral, admission and treatment of patients; direct private clinics and treatment lines to strictly comply with the instructions for diagnosis, treatment, timely and safe monitoring and referral, minimizing the number of severe patients and deaths; closely coordinate with central units to collect samples and sequence genes to promptly detect new variants of the SARS-CoV-2 virus and promptly report to the Ministry of Health when new variants of the SARS-CoV-2 virus are detected.
