The grassroots congress was a great success.
Implementing the direction of the Hanoi People's Committee, recently, the districts of Ba Vi, Thach That, Quoc Oai, and My Duc chaired and coordinated with the Hanoi Ethnic Committee to successfully organize the Congress of Ethnic Minorities.
The congresses have gone into specific and practical issues of ethnic work. In particular, they have frankly acknowledged and objectively assessed poverty reduction work. They have multiplied good economic, cultural and social models implemented by the people themselves and by localities.
Head of the Ethnic Affairs Department of Ba Vi District Bui Huy Giap shared that through the congress, the pride of each ethnic group and each household was aroused, creating a new change. The efforts to reduce poverty by endogenous capacity of ethnic minorities increased.
Not only that, from the significance of the congress, the political system's awareness of ethnic affairs and ethnic policies has been raised. The lives of ethnic minorities and the development in ethnic and mountainous areas are convincing evidence.
According to the assessment of the Hanoi Ethnic Minorities Committee, the 2024 district-level ethnic minority congresses have been successfully completed so far. Districts with concentrated ethnic minority populations, including Ba Vi, Thach That, Quoc Oai, and My Duc, have selected the most outstanding delegates to officially attend the congress.
