(Dan Tri) - The bonus levels for excellent national and international students and team leaders were approved by the Hanoi People's Council this morning, December 10.
Accordingly, the lowest reward is 10 million VND and the highest is 300 million VND, applied to students who won gold medals at international Olympics and equivalent, sent by the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) to attend or authorized by the Hanoi Department of Education and Training to attend.
This bonus level is 15 times higher than the current level and is equal to Hai Duong and Thua Thien - Hue, lower than Quang Ninh, Hai Phong, Bac Ninh, and Vinh Phuc.
Specifically, students who won international Olympic prizes in cultural subjects were awarded 300 million VND, 200 million VND, 150 million VND and 100 million VND respectively.
Students who won prizes in the International Science and Technology Olympiad and the Regional Olympiad were awarded 200 million VND, 150 million VND, 100 million VND and 50 million VND respectively.

Compared to the proposal, the bonus for students winning international prizes has been raised to a maximum of 50 million VND.
For national excellent students, the rewards for first, second, third and consolation prizes are 50 million VND, 40 million VND, 30 million VND and 20 million VND respectively.
Students who win first prize in the city-level excellent student competition are proposed to receive a high reward of 10 million VND for junior high school and 15 million VND for high school.
In addition, the draft also proposes to award 50 million VND to students who win the Road to Olympia Championship.
Ethnic minority and disabled students who achieve the above achievements will receive a bonus of 1.5 times.
In case a student is both an ethnic minority and a disabled person, the bonus will be doubled.
Teams and groups of students (from 2 members or more) that win prizes in international science and technology research competitions; those that win prizes in national science and technology research competitions and excellent student competitions organized by the Department of Education and Training; those that win first prizes in cultural subject competitions and city-level science and technology research competitions organized by the Hanoi Department of Education and Training will receive twice the reward for individuals.
Students who win prizes in different competitions in the same year will be fully rewarded according to the number of prizes won.
The bonus for teachers is 70% of the bonus for students.
Currently, Quang Ninh leads the country in terms of rewards for students winning international prizes with 700 million VND.
