On September 27, the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Hanoi City held a Conference to summarize the movement "Good people, good deeds" and the Writing Contest on typical advanced examples, good people, good deeds in the patriotic emulation movement in 2022 and directions, tasks and solutions in 2024.

With the meaning of the emulation movement, in 2023, the "Good people, good deeds" movement of the Capital's Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs continues to be maintained, promoted and has a wide spread. Along with the "Good people, good deeds" movement, the Writing Contest on typical advanced examples, good people, good deeds was also widely launched and effectively implemented by the industry. From the emulation movement and the Writing Contest, many typical advanced examples, good people, good deeds have been discovered, commended, and replicated, creating motivation for cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers in the whole industry to strive, overcome all difficulties to successfully implement the assigned targets and tasks in 2023.

In particular, the emergency support work in the fire that occurred on September 12, 2023 at No. 37, Alley 29/70, Khuong Ha Street, Khuong Dinh Ward, Thanh Xuan District was promptly advised and deployed by the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Hanoi City: On September 13, 2023, the Department issued a Decision to establish a working group and 05 delegations to visit and support the victims. As of September 20, 2023, the Department has advised the City People's Committee to visit and support 48 deceased victims (16 children, 32 adults) and 37 injured victims (9 children, 28 adults). The visit and support work is still being implemented by the Department advising the City People's Committee. The Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs also advised the City People's Committee to submit to the City People's Council a Resolution regulating a number of specific policies to support those affected by the fire at No. 37, Alley 29/70, Khuong Ha Street, Khuong Dinh Ward, Thanh Xuan District on September 12, 2023 at the extraordinary meeting on September 22, 2023. This is a very practical and timely specific policy.

Among the entries in the City-level contest, there were 02 entries in the final round of the Contest. That was the entry “My Mother” by Nong Thi Tuyet Nhung, a student of B3 - Hoa Cam Chuong, SOS Children's Village Hanoi, about Mother Nguyen Thi Thao, Mother of SOS Children's Village Hanoi. The entry truly reflects the image of a very ordinary, everyday Mother, but full of humanity and profound meaning. An extraordinary mother who sacrificed her entire youth to care for and raise orphans, considering them as her own children.

The article “The officer who brings sunshine, silently sows seeds of love”, an article by Ms. Chu Thi Thanh Ha, an employee of the Medical - Rehabilitation Department, Hanoi Mental Health Care and Rehabilitation Center No. 1, about Mr. Nguyen Van Long, Head of the Medical - Rehabilitation Department, Hanoi Mental Health Care and Rehabilitation Center No. 1, a dedicated officer, always ready to help and share with people with especially severe mental illness being cared for at the Center.
