Within the framework of his official visit to Vietnam, on December 2, National Assembly Chairman Samdech Khuon Sudary and a high-ranking delegation of the National Assembly of the Kingdom of Cambodia visited and worked in Ha Nam province. Also attending were Party Central Committee member and Chairman of the National Assembly's Foreign Affairs Committee Vu Hai Ha.

President of the Cambodian National Assembly Samdech Khuon Sudary expressed his impression and congratulated Ha Nam on the achievements that it has made in recent times and emphasized that the official visit to Vietnam by the high-ranking delegation of the Cambodian National Assembly is an important foreign political activity between the Cambodian National Assembly and the Vietnamese National Assembly; of profound significance, taking place in the context of positive developments in the relationship between the two countries. This is also a new milestone contributing to consolidating and developing the relationship between the two countries in general and between the two National Assemblies in particular; at the same time, enhancing exchanges, sharing of experiences, and learning between localities of the two countries in various fields, especially economic development, trade, education, training, culture, tourism, and people-to-people exchange, etc.
The President of the National Assembly of the Kingdom of Cambodia expressed his belief that the traditional friendship and solidarity between the two Parties, two States and peoples of Cambodia and Vietnam will continue to develop well; and wished Ha Nam province to develop and prosper.
Welcoming President of the National Assembly Samdech Khuon Sudary and the high-ranking delegation of the Cambodian National Assembly to visit and work in Ha Nam province, Chairman of the Ha Nam Provincial People's Committee Truong Quoc Huy expressed his belief that the official visit to Vietnam by President of the National Assembly Samdech Khuon Sudary will contribute to further consolidating and developing the relationship between Vietnam and Cambodia under the motto of "good neighborliness, traditional friendship, comprehensive cooperation, long-term sustainability", which has been cultivated by many generations of leaders and people of the two countries.
Chairman of Ha Nam Provincial People's Committee Truong Quoc Huy informed the delegation about the potentials and strengths of the province, especially the outstanding achievements in local socio-economic development in recent times.
The average GRDP growth rate in the period 2011-2020 is over 10%/year, the economic growth of the province is high, averaging 10.6%/year. The economic structure is shifting towards modernization, the industrial structure increased from 35.1% in 2010 to 55.3% in 2020. The average GRDP per capita in 2023 increased by 11.2% compared to 2022.
The province is planning to develop industrial parks in Ha Nam province for the period 2021-2030. Ha Nam has been attracting large corporations to develop industry, tourism, resorts combined with trade and services. The province also always pays attention to developing human resources, especially high-quality human resources.
Ha Nam currently has Nam Cao University area attracting investment from a number of major universities in Vietnam such as University of Construction, FPT UniSchool Ha Nam Education Complex... Ha Nam always determines the goal of developing tourism to become an important economic sector of the province. With rich natural resources and many historical and cultural relics, festivals and traditional folk culture, Ha Nam has been and is being evaluated as a safe and attractive destination for tourists.
The Chairman of the People's Committee of Ha Nam province emphasized that Ha Nam wishes to strengthen and expand cooperative relations with foreign localities, including Cambodia, in order to promote investment cooperation, mobilize foreign resources to serve the socio-economic development goals of the province, and at the same time contribute to fostering good relations between the two countries. In the coming time, Ha Nam province wishes to have the opportunity to exchange information, enhance mutual understanding with Cambodian localities to study cooperation in the fields of economy, culture, society, trade promotion and tourism...
On this occasion, National Assembly Chairman Samdech Khuon Sudary and a high-ranking delegation of the Cambodian National Assembly visited and planted a souvenir tree at the Tam Chuc National Tourist Area, Kim Bang District, Ha Nam Province.
