Bloomberg also cited sources about GTA 6 coming from people close to Rockstar Games.
If this is indeed what is going to happen, it means that gamers and fans will get the “official” announcement of GTA 6 more than 12 years after the announcement of GTA 5 took place on November 3, 2011.
GTA 6 is still expected to release after 12 years
Despite the long gap between releases, the longest in the gaming industry, Rockstar Games' parent company Take-Two still has high hopes for GTA 6.
“On one hand, it has to be something you haven't seen before and it needs to reflect our sense of Grand Theft Auto,” Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick said of GTA 6 in May. “That's a huge challenge for us,” he added.
Of course, it's no secret that Rockstar Games is working on GTA 6, as the project has been leaked multiple times and became one of the biggest gaming leaks ever last year when it revealed a bunch of footage and details that were believed to be the final product of GTA 6. Because of this leak, some of the hackers involved were charged and faced court in August. They are still anxiously awaiting further sentencing.
