(Dan Tri) - Mr. Tran Xuan Bach, 39 years old, is one of the youngest professors recognized this year. He was also the youngest Associate Professor 7 years ago.

According to the list of candidates meeting the standards of professor and associate professor in 2023 from the State Council of Professors, Mr. Tran Xuan Bach, born in 1984, Professor of Medicine, is one of the 3 youngest faces recognized as professor .

Mr. Tran Xuan Bach is from Thuong Tin, Hanoi, and is working at the Institute of Preventive Medicine and Public Health, Hanoi Medical University.

He graduated with a degree in medicine from the School of Public Health in 2006. In 2021, he was awarded a PhD in Public Health from the University of Alberta, Canada in 2012.

In 2020, Mr. Bach received a bachelor's degree in law from the University of Law. At the same time, he received a Master's degree in finance from the University of Toulon, France.

In 2016, Mr. Tran Xuan Bach was recognized as Associate Professor. He was also the youngest Associate Professor to be recognized that year at only 32 years old.

In 2019, Mr. Tran Xuan Bach was appointed Professor (concurrently) by Johns Hopkins University (USA), becoming one of the youngest professors at this prestigious university.

To date, Mr. Tran Xuan Bach has 97 scientific articles, of which 92 are typical scientific articles in prestigious international journals. In addition, he has published 9 books in prestigious publishers.

Mr. Tran Xuan Bach has won many prestigious awards such as the award for the best PhD research report at the INSIGHT Public Health Science Conference, University of Alberta, Canada in 2010; the award of Alberta Innovates - Health Solutions Canada 2012; the international clinical and prevention research award of the AIDS Research Center, Johns Hopkins University, USA in 2015.

Mr. Bach also won the Golden Globe Science and Technology Award in 2018; the Outstanding Young Vietnamese Physician Award in 2017; the Career Start Award from the University of Alberta, Canada in 2017; and the Outstanding Young Vietnamese Face Award in 2016.

This face is also the first youngest Vietnamese scientist to receive the Noam Chomsky Award - Shining Star for achievements in research in 2020.

In addition to Mr. Hoang Xuan Bach, this year there are two other people born in 1983 who were recognized as professors. They are Mr. Nguyen Dai Hai and Mr. Doan Thai Son, both from the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology.

In 2022, the youngest person to be recognized as a professor is Mr. Le Van Canh, 43 years old.
