The Vietnam Publishing Association said the 6th National Book Awards will be held on December 29 at the Hanoi Opera House.
The National Book Award is a State-level award held annually, awarding books (book series) with outstanding value in terms of ideological content, knowledge, and aesthetics to honor authors, translators, scientists, and publishers, contributing to discovering, preserving, and promoting valuable works to a wide range of readers, promoting the publishing career to develop in the right direction and in line with the integration trend.

The 6th National Book Awards had 41/57 publishers participating with 312 titles and book series including 435 books. This year's season saw an increase in the number of publishers, the number of participating books increased by 14 titles and book series, 49 books compared to the previous season.
The councils worked carefully, seriously, objectively and selected outstanding and valuable books to award. As a result, the 6th National Book Award Council unanimously awarded 41 books and book series, including 2 A prizes, 10 B prizes, 11 C prizes and 18 Encouragement prizes.
The award-winning books are considered to be creative works with profound humanistic spirit, elaborate research works, and high social scientific and practical values.
With the support of businesses and sponsors, the sixth National Book Awards continues to maintain the same prize value with 100 million VND for Prize A, 50 million VND for Prize B, 30 million VND for Prize C, and 10 million VND for the Encouragement Prize.
Within the framework of the award ceremony, the Vietnam Publishing Association in collaboration with the National Political Publishing House Truth will display and exhibit books and research works of special value by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, along with many important political theory works and all award-winning books from previous award ceremonies.
At the Award Ceremony, the Ministry of Information and Communications will also present certificates of merit to press agencies, publishers, and book businesses that have made outstanding achievements in promoting and disseminating books, publishing concise books, and distributing books in large quantities, contributing to promoting the development of reading culture.
The award ceremony was broadcast live on Vietnam Television, Voice of Vietnam and digital media platforms of major press agencies nationwide.
