The Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department was awarded a Certificate of Merit for its outstanding achievements in organizing, promoting, and responding to the Award; Thanh Hoa Newspaper won the Encouragement Prize of the 9th Golden Hammer and Sickle Award - 2024.
General Secretary To Lam and other Party leaders and former Party and State leaders attended the ceremony.
On the evening of January 20, at Ho Guom Theater (Hanoi), the Central Organizing Committee presided over and coordinated with Nhan Dan Newspaper, Communist Magazine, Vietnam Television, and Vietnam Journalists Association to organize the Announcement and Award Ceremony of the 9th National Press Award on Party Building (named Golden Hammer and Sickle) - 2024. The ceremony was broadcast live on VTV1 channel, Vietnam Television.
General Secretary To Lam attended and delivered an important speech at the ceremony. The ceremony was attended by leaders and former leaders of the Party and State; leaders of central departments, ministries, branches and agencies; leaders of provinces and cities in the country; leaders of press agencies and award-winning authors and author groups.

According to the Organizing Committee's report, the 9th Golden Hammer and Sickle Award - 2024 attracted 2,544 entries, 15% higher than the previous season. This shows the active participation of press agencies and journalists, contributing to spreading the achievements in Party building and rectification work, building the political system to cadres, party members and people, creating a good impression on the public about the Party and Party building work.
The works participating in the 9th Golden Hammer and Sickle Award - 2024 are invested in meticulously, methodically, and scientifically by the authors and press agencies. Many works are of high quality, closely following hot issues, outstanding events, and key tasks of the political system and the country. Especially the articles and speeches of General Secretary To Lam, suggesting new directions of thinking, strategic vision; aspirations for development to be completely proud of the traditional and glorious history of the Party and the nation. From there, it is affirmed that the Party is confident in leading the nation into a new era with a new mindset. That is autonomy, self-reliance, and self-strengthening to shape the future of the country.
The final jury met, discussed enthusiastically, democratically and voted by secret ballot, selecting the best works from 137 works in the final round to award prizes. The work consists of 4 articles: Article 1 - Like a proud tree trunk before the storm; Article 2 - Sister Do overcomes the fear of prejudice; Article 3 - Pioneering Party members bring rice fields to... the village; Final article - Resonant nuclei to untangle the knots.

Senior Lieutenant General Trinh Van Quyet, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army and member of the Party Central Committee, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan presented awards to Thanh Hoa Newspaper reporters and authors and groups of authors who won the Encouragement Prize.
The work "The Mong people "go against the flow" to find prosperity in the border area" is also the reflections, concerns, and enthusiasm of exemplary party members in the Mong ethnic minority region in their efforts to contribute their strength and intelligence to the cause of changing the border area.
After the summary, announcement and award ceremony, comrade Le Minh Hung, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Organizing Committee, Head of the Steering Committee of the 9th Golden Hammer and Sickle Award - 2024 launched the 10th National Press Award on Party building - 2025.
The organizing committee of the ceremony also informed about the key contents of Party building work and the political system in 2025.

The ceremony ended with a special art program to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2025) with the theme: "With the Party - Complete trust and love".
