Viettel Marathon 2024 is supported by Luang Prabang local government

Viettel Marathon Luang Prabang Unitel 2024 is approaching its official race date on November 3rd. Currently, representatives of the Organizing Committee are present in Luang Prabang to carry out promotional activities, prepare and check the organization of the tournament.

After more than a week of conducting many visits, working and exchanging… the representatives of the organizing committee of the Race have achieved many positive results. One of the activities that determined the success of this race was the visit and working with senior officials of Luang Prabang province (Laos).

On October 22, at the headquarters of the Luang Prabang Provincial Party Committee, Comrade Khamkhan Chanthavisouk, Member of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, Secretary and Governor of Luang Prabang Province, had a cordial reception with representatives of the Organizing Committee of the Viettel Marathon Laos leg, including Ms. Bui Thu Huong, Deputy General Director of Viet Content Joint Stock Company (Vietcontent), the organizer of the Viettel Marathon Luang Prabang Unitel 2024, Mr. Dam Van Thanh - Director of Unitel Branch in Luang Prabang - a subsidiary of Viettel Group in Laos, Mr. Nguyen Viet Anh, Director of the Viettel Marathon project.

At the meeting, representatives of the Viettel Marathon organizing committee presented and reported on the preparation progress of the tournament organization stages, the plan for tournament operations and hoped to receive support from local authorities.

After hearing the report on the preparations for the Viettel Marathon Luang Prabang Unitel 2024, comrade Khamkhan Chanthavisouk was delighted when Luang Prabang became the first venue for the Viettel Marathon series.

According to Mr. Khamkhan Chanthavisouk, this is the first time Luang Prabang has organized a flat race with a distance of 42.195km, so in addition to many challenges, this is also a highlight for the race to become an event to promote the image of the land and people, enhance the tourism status and be known to international friends. Comrade Khamkhan Chanthavisouk said that the local government will create the best conditions for the Organizing Committee to complete its work and agreed to send personnel to join the steering committee of the Race.

The Viettel Marathon 2024 Organizing Committee deeply appreciates the sentiments, support and assistance in all aspects from the Luang Prabang local government. After the Laos leg, the Viettel Marathon will take place in Vietnam on December 1 and Cambodia on December 22, 2024.
