(CLO) The Journalism Award with the theme "For National Security and Peaceful Life" for the period 2023 - 2025, chaired by the Ministry of Public Security, in coordination with the Vietnam Journalists Association and the Ministry of Information and Communications, will accept entries until April 30, 2025.
The Press Award is organized to promote propaganda about all aspects of the People's Public Security Forces (PPP); about the role, position and important contributions of the PPP in the fight against crime, protecting national security, maintaining social order and safety. At the same time, affirming the position and importance of the press as an important bridge between the PPP and the masses.
Entries participating in the Award must demonstrate as much as possible the achievements, outstanding feats, and contributions of the People's Public Security force in ensuring security and order and building the force. (Photo: cand.com.vn)
The works participating in the Award must demonstrate as much as possible the content of disseminating and propagating the results of organizing the implementation of the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws on ensuring security and order (SOT) and building the Vietnam People's Public Security Force. Reflecting the tradition of the Vietnam People's Public Security Force; the leadership of the Party and the State with the SOT; the outstanding achievements, feats of arms, and contributions of the SOT in ensuring SOT and building the force; the difficulties, hardships, and challenges of the SOT in performing its duties; proposing tasks and solutions in ensuring SOT and building the Vietnam People's Public Security Force.
In addition, it reflects the role, positive contributions and close relationship between the People's Public Security Forces and the People's Army, Central and local Committees, Ministries, branches; the support and assistance of the people and international friends to the People's Public Security Forces on the front of ensuring security and order. Discover and introduce advanced models, good experiences, good people, good deeds in the life and combat of the People's Public Security Forces; in the movement of All People Protecting National Security.
Detect and reflect current policies and regulations on ensuring security and order, building the People's Public Security force that are still inadequate and inappropriate and need to be revised and supplemented. Propose solutions and directions to remove difficulties and obstacles, and improve the effectiveness of security and order protection in the coming time. Inform, identify, and warn about plots and tricks, especially new tricks, to sabotage the Party's policies and guidelines, and the State's policies and laws. Fight and refute wrong, hostile viewpoints, and malicious information related to security and order work.
Types of press participating in the Award include: Print, electronic, radio, television and photojournalism.
Genres include: Research articles, reflections, interviews, notes, reports, documentaries, news, special topics, columns, discussions, investigations, memoirs, comments, monographs, multimedia journalism products (video clips on online newspapers are not accepted).
Entries submitted to the Award must clearly state that they were first published and broadcast from January 1, 2023 to December 31, 2024 on a press agency or radio station; have confirmation from the press agency and a brief introduction of the work. The Organizing Committee will not return entries and reserves the right to use winning entries for promotional purposes.
The Organizing Committee does not accept works that have won the National Press Award. Works that have won awards at Central and local press awards are eligible to participate in the Award but must clearly state the award level, information about the unit, and time of the Award.
The Prize structure includes: 1 Special Prize worth 80 million VND, 5 First Prizes each worth 50 million VND, 10 Second Prizes each worth 30 million VND, 15 Third Prizes each worth 20 million VND, 25 Encouragement Prizes each worth 10 million VND and a number of prizes for press agencies, Associations, Journalists Associations and agencies, organizations at all levels, and sectors that actively participate and have many quality works during the Prize period.
The time for receiving entries is from the date of launching the Award (June 8, 2023) to April 30, 2025 (according to the postmark).
