Representatives of some key petroleum trading enterprises informed that currently the price of imported gasoline is 500 - 600 VND/liter higher than the domestic price, the price of oil is 100 VND/liter higher. Therefore, in the operating period tomorrow (January 25), the price of gasoline may increase by 500 - 900 VND/liter, the price of oil increases by about 100 VND/liter, kg.

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Thang, Director of Hai Au Phat Petroleum Enterprise, said that the price of finished petroleum products on the Singapore market is: RON95 gasoline is 97.16 USD/barrel, RON92 gasoline is 91.91 USD/barrel, diesel oil is 101 USD/barrel...
Accordingly, imported gasoline prices are 500 - 600 VND/liter higher than domestic prices, oil prices are 100 VND/liter higher, not including the gasoline price stabilization fund.
"It is forecasted that in tomorrow's adjustment, gasoline prices may increase by 500-600 VND/liter, oil prices may increase by 150 VND/liter, kg or less," said Mr. Thang.
Forecasting that gasoline prices may increase more strongly, at 800 - 900 VND/liter, oil prices may increase by 100 - 200 VND/liter, kg, Mr. Dang Hoai Phuong, leader of Phuong Nam petroleum enterprise, said that if the State management agency uses the fund, gasoline prices will increase less, but if the management agency uses the stabilization fund, prices may increase higher.
If forecasts are correct, gasoline prices will increase for the third consecutive time from the beginning of 2024.
Currently, on the market, gasoline prices have been adjusted since January 18. Specifically, E5 RON92 gasoline increased by 377 VND/liter to 21,418 VND/liter, RON95 gasoline is no higher than 22,482 VND/liter (an increase of 547 VND/liter).
Oil prices also increased slightly. Diesel prices increased by VND487/liter, to VND20,194/liter; kerosene increased by VND205/liter, not higher than VND20,536/liter. In contrast, fuel oil prices decreased by VND307/kg, not higher than VND15,508/kg.
In this management period, the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance decided to set up a price stabilization fund for fuel oil at 300 VND/kg (as in the previous period), not to set up a price stabilization fund for gasoline, diesel and kerosene; not to use the fund for all gasoline products.
