iPhone 15 price may increase 'shockingly'

VietNamNetVietNamNet12/06/2023

According to Wedbush analyst Dan Ives, the iPhone 15 will likely sell for a much higher price than the iPhone 14 launched last year.

The price of the iPhone 15 will likely increase by $200 compared to the iPhone 14.

Dan Ives is an analyst known for his accurate predictions, especially his predictions about iPhone prices.

According to PhoneArena , although not specifically mentioning the price increase of the new iPhone, Ives shared on CNBC that the average price (ASP) of the iPhone increased, which means that the iPhone 15 series launched this September will be more expensive than the current models.

Many analysts and industry experts predict that the price of the iPhone 15 could increase by $200 compared to the iPhone 14, with the high-end iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max (iPhone 15 Ultra) models expected to see the biggest increase, according to Forbes .

Despite the rising iPhone prices, Ives is still optimistic about new iPhone sales. He believes Apple will ship between 235 and 240 million iPhone 15s this year. Ives's forecast is based on a statistic that shows there are currently about 250 million iPhones that have not been upgraded in the past 4 years.

This is a boon for Apple if many of those people decide to upgrade their handsets this year.

Overall, the outlook for Apple's iPhone 15 series, with its ability to adjust prices and strong sales, presents both opportunities and challenges for the Cupertino tech giant in the fiercely competitive global smartphone market.
