DNVN - On November 12, 2024, the price of live pigs nationwide remained stable, fluctuating from 60,000 to 64,000 VND/kg.
Pig price in the North
In the Northern region, the live hog market continued to maintain unchanged prices today, trading from 62,000 to 64,000 VND/kg.
Particularly in the provinces of Hanoi, Bac Giang, Hung Yen, Hai Duong, Thai Binh, Thai Nguyen, Phu Tho and Vinh Phuc, the price of live pigs is still at the highest level of 64,000 VND/kg.
Other localities in the North kept prices unchanged.
Pig price in Central Highlands
The Central and Central Highlands regions kept the purchase price of live pigs unchanged, ranging from 60,000 to 63,000 VND/kg.
Specifically, the lowest price in this area is 60,000 VND/kg, recorded in the provinces of Quang Tri, Thua Thien Hue, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Binh Thuan, Khanh Hoa, Dak Lak and Ninh Thuan.
Pig price in the South
The southern live pig market also continued to stabilize following the general trend, with prices ranging from 60,000 to 63,000 VND/kg.
The provinces of Dong Nai, Vung Tau, Hau Giang, Bac Lieu, Tra Vinh and Soc Trang are currently recording the lowest price in the region at 60,000 VND/kg.
In contrast, the two provinces of Can Tho and An Giang recorded the highest price of 63,000 VND/kg.
In the short term, the national pig price is forecast to remain stable as demand tends to increase towards the end of the year. According to experts, the supply of pigs has now been adjusted to match demand, helping the market to fluctuate less strongly.
It is predicted that there will be little change in the price of live pigs this week because the current supply is meeting the consumption demand. However, if there is a sudden increase in demand from industrial zones or the year-end supply chain, the price of live pigs may increase slightly in some areas.
Maintaining stable domestic pig prices is largely due to effective regulatory policies from localities and the livestock industry. Farmers and traders need to closely monitor the market to come up with appropriate adjustment strategies, especially at the end of the year when demand often increases.
