Nearly 400 students from provinces and cities participate in the 2024 literary criticism theory training

The training conference was attended by nearly 400 trainees from the southern provinces (from Quang Tri and below), in addition to 11 delegations from the northern provinces.
Participants of the training conference include: leaders of the Propaganda Department of provinces and cities; those working in state management of culture and arts; leaders of literary and artistic associations; those working in theoretical research and literary and artistic criticism; leaders of the cultural and artistic departments; reporters and editors of press agencies and publishing houses specializing in culture and arts; lecturers specializing in culture and arts at universities, academies, and research institutes, etc.

Speaking at the conference, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen The Ky - Chairman of the Central Council for Theory and Criticism of Literature and Arts said that after summarizing 15 years of implementing Resolution 23 of the Politburo (10th tenure) on "Continuing to build and develop literature and arts in the new period", on June 21, 2024, the Politburo issued Conclusion 84 on continuing to implement Resolution 23.
The birth of this conclusion not only demonstrates the deep concern of the Party and State for the field of culture and arts, but also reflects the dynamism, richness, and novelty, but also the emergence of complex aspects, especially the negative impacts of the market mechanism, the process of international integration, digital transformation, and artificial intelligence AI.

“The new period requires propaganda, cultural, artistic, educational and training agencies, press and publishing agencies to further strengthen theoretical research and systematically and in-depth practical summaries to further enhance the effectiveness of consulting and advising the Party and State at all levels to improve their leadership, direction and management capacity, in order to strongly and firmly develop the country's literature and arts in the coming years,” Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen The Ky emphasized.
At the conference, the trainees were taught by experienced lecturers who have been directly involved in the leadership and management of literature and art on the contents of 5 topics: Continuing to implement Resolution 23 of the 10th Politburo and Conclusion 84 of the 13th Politburo on continuing to build and develop literature and art in the new situation; Literature and art after 50 years of national unification, innovation and development: Achievements, issues and development orientations; Literature and art with the development of cultural industry in Vietnam; Vietnamese literature and art abroad with the mission of healing, connecting and promoting Vietnamese cultural and artistic values; and The role of architecture in Vietnam with the sustainable development of the country: Current trends of innovation and integration.
The conference will end on August 29.
