On the afternoon of August 15, at the headquarters of Thanh Nien Newspaper, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union coordinated with Thanh Nien Newspaper to organize the closing ceremony and award ceremony of the "Contest on composing logos and songs about youth to promote the 9th National Congress of the Vietnam Youth Union, term 2024-2029".
Attending the event were comrades: Nguyen Ngoc Luong, Secretary of the Central Youth Union, President of the Vietnam Youth Union; Nguyen Xuan Hieu, Vice President of the Vietnam Youth Union; Nguyen Ngoc Toan, Editor-in-Chief of Thanh Nien Newspaper...
According to Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hieu, the entries deeply and vividly express the spirit of enthusiastic, creative, and daring youth. In addition to their artistic value, the works also convey messages from Vietnamese youth in the new era.
The contest is launched from October 3 and will run until December 15, 2023.
As a result, in the Song category, the organizing committee received 54 entries from 43 authors from 19 provinces and cities across the country, including 46 entries with demos and 8 entries without demos.
After many rounds of judging, the members of the Jury decided to choose the song Pride of Vietnamese Youth by author Mai Tram (HCMC) to award the first prize, worth 50 million VND.
This will be the official song of the 9th National Congress of the Vietnam Youth Union, term 2024 - 2029.
In addition to the first prize, the jury also selected 5 quality songs (10 million VND/song), including: Proud to be a youth (author Van Viet Phuong Hoai), Steadfast steps of youth of the times (Ho Cong Thanh), Where green shines (Huynh Duc), Vietnamese youth - Aspirations of tomorrow (An Hieu) and Glory to us (Nguyen Chung Bao).
Meanwhile, for the logo, the organizing committee received 226 works from 60 authors across the country. There were 138 works that met the standards as announced in the final round.
The first prize worth 50 million VND belongs to the logo of author Pham Tam, lecturer of industrial fine arts, Ho Chi Minh City University of Architecture.
The Organizing Committee also selected and awarded 5 unique and creative logos (10 million VND/logo).
