Recently, leaders of Khanh Hoa province had a working session with FPT Investment Company Limited (a member of FPT Group) to listen to the investment proposal report for FPT Technology Urban Area and FPT Education Complex in Nha Trang City.
According to information from the leaders of FPT Investment, the FPT Technology Urban Area Project is expected to be built in Phuoc Dong and Vinh Thai communes. This is a modern digital urban area project in terms of space organization, landscape architecture, synchronous technical infrastructure and social infrastructure systems. The project is an artificial intelligence urban area, contributing to training and attracting high-quality digital human resources, attracting investment in the field of research, innovation and development of 4.0 technology, towards the 5.0 technology era; promoting the development of smart cities in Khanh Hoa province in general and Nha Trang city in particular according to development needs worldwide.
The proposed project scale is expected to be 50.6 hectares. In particular, the investor will build an AI training research center of more than 81,600m2, from 3 to 13 floors high; build the rough construction and complete the exterior of 900 low-rise houses (3 floors) including villas and townhouses with a total area of about 90,600m2; build 8 high-rise apartment blocks with a total area of more than 48,500m2 , with a scale of 1 to 2 basements and 15 to 20 floors above ground; office space, mixed-use commercial service area for rent with an area of more than 6,700m2 , with a scale of 1 to 2 basements and 15 floors above ground.
The project is expected to have a population of about 20,000 people. The total estimated investment (including compensation and resettlement support costs) is over VND 9,290 billion. The project's operating period is 50 years from the date of land allocation. The project is expected to construct and put into use the urban area's technical infrastructure items from the second quarter of 2028 to the fourth quarter of 2037.
Meanwhile, the FPT Education Complex Project is expected to be built in Phuoc Dong commune, with an area of over 76,700m2 ; construction density of about 28%, construction area of over 21,400m2 with 12 items, including Alpha, Beta, Delta, Epsilon buildings, multi-purpose service house, vivonam house, shuttle parking lot, sports area and square. The project has a scale of 6,030 students at primary, secondary, high school and vocational training levels. The project is expected to be implemented in 7 years, divided into 3 phases: 2025 - 2027, 2028 - 2030 and 2030 - 2032 with a total investment of about 391 billion VND.
After listening to the report, regarding the FPT Education Complex Project, the leaders of Khanh Hoa province assigned the Department of Planning and Investment to urgently advise the Provincial People's Committee to consider mechanisms and preferential policies to attract investment in the education sector; Nha Trang City People's Committee to complete the zoning plans where the investment project is located in February, and at the same time coordinate with the Department of Construction to find locations to introduce additional land plots for investors to build the Khanh Hoa minischool system; study and propose investment in connecting roads to the project, but must ensure community and serve people's lives.
Regarding the FPT Technology Urban Area Project, Khanh Hoa Province requested the investor to accelerate the implementation schedule, striving for some items of the project to be put into operation before 2030; develop a specific roadmap, assign people to monitor to ensure project progress. After the zoning plan is approved, the Department of Planning and Investment will urgently complete the appraisal documents to advise the Provincial People's Committee to approve the project investment policy and organize a bidding to select investors.
