Vietnam is a “unique” country, Narayana Murthy affirmed, Vietnam’s recent emergence as a global technology destination reflects the country’s commitment and investment. He also praised the courage, diligence, discipline, creativity and ambition of many generations of Vietnamese people. Thanks to these qualities, in the next 20 years, Vietnam will soon become one of the leading developed countries in Asia and one of the fastest growing countries in the world. “Vietnam’s GDP has now reached 4,300 USD per capita and will continue to grow faster than most economies in the world. I believe Vietnam will bring prosperity to its people faster than most countries,” he said. He also affirmed that enterprises like FPT will help Vietnam realize its national potential. “After 24 years of globalization, FPT reached $1 billion in IT service revenue from overseas markets in 2023, and Infosys also achieved the same feat in a similar period of time. Therefore, I have faith that FPT will reach the next milestone, $2 billion in IT service revenue from overseas markets much faster, with a lot of determination, courage and continuous efforts. FPT is and will contribute significantly to the future growth of Vietnam,” Mr. Narayana Murthy emphasized.

Sharing the above comment of Mr. Narayana Murthy, Mr. Truong Gia Binh, Chairman of FPT Board of Directors said, “India, Infosys has inspired FPT, Vietnam. 24 years ago, FPT came to India to learn how to turn Vietnam into a software powerhouse. And it was Narayana Murthy who inspired us with absolute confidence, Vietnam is a special country and Vietnam can develop software for the world”. In 1998, after becoming the number 1 IT company in Vietnam, FPT decided to step out of its comfort zone, determined to go out to sea with the strategic direction of exporting software to make Vietnamese intelligence famous on the world digital technology map. If you want to go far, you have to go together. FPT has “held the flag” to gather domestic software companies to bring Vietnamese intelligence abroad, create happiness, and contribute to national prosperity. In 2002, the Vietnam Software Association (now the Vietnam Software and IT Services Association - VINASA) was established, happily going global with the iron determination that "what Indians can do, Vietnamese can do too". At that time, the software industry powerhouse India had 200 times more software and IT services revenue than Vietnam. After 20 years, Vietnam has narrowed that gap by more than 10 times. The association is aiming to bring the software and IT services industry to the milestone of 50 billion USD in revenue by 2030 and 150 billion USD by 2045. FPT also contributed to "lighting up Vietnam's name on the world intellectual map by pioneering the latest technology trends such as AI, Big Data, Cloud, Blockchain, RPA...

Ms. Chu Thi Thanh Ha, Chairman of FPT Software, introduced the company's Campus at Hoa Lac High-Tech Park to Mr. Narayana Murthy.

Three important things that help businesses succeed: Sales - Financial control - Human resources From Infosys's own practical experience, Infosys founder Narayana Murthy believes that to be successful, along with choosing high-demand fields, businesses need to ensure three important factors: Sales, Financial control and Human resources. "If we cannot sell products, the company will not have revenue, and without revenue, the company cannot operate. Once we have revenue, we must ensure that all costs are controlled. Try to spend less than the amount of money the company has. And another important thing is to ensure the operation of all departments in the company, we need to have a good team of human resources." Also according to Indian IT legend Narayana Murthy, the most important thing for a company is not to make a profit but to create jobs. He believes that when more jobs are created, sales and profits will come naturally, because that is the root of business, while sales and profits are just the consequences. Sharing the same view with the founder of Infosys, Mr. Truong Gia Binh, Chairman of the Board of Directors, said that FPT is also doing the same, FPT is aiming to create more jobs to change the lives of young people and towards the milestone of 1 million employees by 2035.
