On the morning of February 3, Saigon Railway Transport Joint Stock Company announced its train operation plan and applied many promotional programs, reducing train ticket prices by up to 30% after the 2023 Lunar New Year.

Specifically, customers who buy tickets for the Thong Nhat SE3/4, SE7/8 train (HCMC - Hanoi) with a distance of over 900km, the SE21/22 train (HCMC - Da Nang) with a distance of over 600km, the SNT1/2 train (HCMC - Nha Trang) with a distance of over 300km 5 days or more before the departure date will receive a discount of 5 - 30% of the ticket price (except for the 4-berth sleeper cabin of the SE3, SNT1/2 trains).
When changing or returning train tickets, the deduction is from 20 - 30% of the ticket price, the time to change or return tickets is at least 72 hours before the train departure time. For train SPT1/2, passengers who buy train tickets from Ho Chi Minh City - Phan Thiet and buy them 10 days or more before the departure date will receive a 10% discount on the ticket price (except for the 4-berth sleeper cabin).
Passengers buying group train tickets with a number of 5 people or more will receive a discount of 2 - 14% on the ticket price. Passengers buying round-trip tickets will receive a 10% discount on the return ticket price.
In addition, the company still applies train ticket discounts for social policy beneficiaries such as Vietnamese heroic mothers, war invalids, the elderly, children... Students in particular receive a 20% discount on train tickets until the end of February 2023 (10% discount on other days).
In order to meet people's travel needs after the 2023 Lunar New Year, Vietnam Railways Corporation organizes daily operation of Thong Nhat trains SE1/2, SE3/4, SE5/6, SE7/8 between Ho Chi Minh City - Hanoi.
In the southern region, Saigon Railway Transport Joint Stock Company organizes the operation of the following pairs of trains: SE21/22 between Ho Chi Minh City - Da Nang, SNT1/SNT2 between Ho Chi Minh City - Nha Trang and SPT1/SPT2 between Ho Chi Minh City - Phan Thiet. If the demand of passengers increases, the company will organize the operation of other trains.
From February 6, passenger trains will run according to the new train schedule. Specifically, trains SE2, SE4, SE6, SE8 depart from Saigon station at 8:55 p.m., 7:00 p.m., 3:30 p.m., 6:45 a.m., respectively; arriving at Hanoi station at 5:45 a.m., 5:25 a.m., 4:30 a.m., 7:12 p.m., respectively.
Trains SE1, SE3, SE5, SE7 depart from Hanoi station at 10:00 p.m., 7:20 p.m., 3:30 p.m., 6:10 a.m., respectively; and arrive at Saigon station at 6:30 a.m., 5:40 a.m., 4:25 a.m., and 5:58 p.m., respectively. Train SE22 departs from Saigon station at 11:00 a.m. and arrives at Da Nang station at 6:23 a.m. Train SE21 departs from Da Nang station at 8:05 a.m. and arrives at Saigon station at 4:00 a.m.
Train SNT2 departs from Saigon station at 8:00 p.m. and arrives at Nha Trang station at 4:55 a.m. Train SNT1 departs from Nha Trang station at 8:05 p.m. and arrives at Saigon station at 5:00 a.m. Train SPT2 departs from Saigon station at 6:10 a.m. and arrives at Phan Thiet station at 10:01 a.m. Train SPT1 departs from Phan Thiet station at 1:10 p.m. and arrives at Saigon station at 5:10 p.m../.
