Bringing Vietnam-Japan relations to a new height, stable, sustainable and long-term

On the evening of October 10, at the headquarters of the Central External Relations Commission, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and Head of the Central External Relations Commission Le Hoai Trung received Japanese Foreign Minister Kamikawa Yoko, who is visiting and working in Vietnam.

At the meeting, Minister Kamikawa congratulated comrade Le Hoai Trung on being elected as a member of the Central Committee Secretariat of the Communist Party of Vietnam; and expressed his joy at visiting Vietnam in the context that the two countries are organizing many exciting activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-Japan diplomatic relations.

Head of the Central External Relations Commission Le Hoai Trung congratulated Ms. Kamikawa on her appointment as Minister of Foreign Affairs, believing that Ms. Kamikawa will continue to make more contributions to the friendly relations between the two countries and people of Vietnam and Japan.

The Head of the Central External Relations Commission expressed the appreciation of the Party, State and people of Vietnam for Japan's support and cooperation in recent times, especially in the process of socio-economic development and industrialization and modernization of Vietnam.

The two sides were pleased and appreciated the positive developments in the Vietnam-Japan relationship, for the benefit of the people of the two countries, contributing positively to peace, cooperation and development in the region and the world, especially in the context of the two countries jointly celebrating the 50th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations.

The two sides agreed to closely coordinate and continue to concretize the important common perception at the online phone call between General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and Japanese Prime Minister Kishida in February 2023; discuss a number of directions to promote cooperation in the coming time, including Party channel relations, contributing to bringing the Vietnam-Japan relationship to a new height, stability, and long-term sustainability.

At the meeting, the two sides also shared some comments on the world and regional situation.
