China is willing to build strategic trust and strengthen bilateral cooperation with Brazil within the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) in line with the South American country's development strategies.

Mr. Wang Yi said that China hopes to work with Brazil to exploit common interests and build growth momentum, thereby making bilateral relations a model for cooperation between emerging markets and developing countries.
In addition, the senior Chinese official affirmed that the BRICS group of leading emerging economies is gradually becoming a typical model for South-South cooperation and has great prospects for development. Therefore, China and Brazil need to actively maintain joint work within the BRICS framework, while promoting multipolarization and democracy in international relations.
Affirming that China is an important strategic partner of Brazil, Mr. Celso Amorim - former Brazilian Foreign Minister said that the comprehensive cooperation between the two countries has achieved many remarkable achievements.
The senior advisor to the President of Brazil affirmed his willingness to maintain contact and further develop cooperation areas with China such as aviation, automobiles, technology, green economy, and climate change.
In addition, Brasilia pledged to strengthen work with Beijing within the BRICS framework, and jointly uphold multilateralism and safeguard world peace.
