To remember and honor this great victory, the Party Committee, government and people of Dien Bien province over many periods have paid attention to and made efforts to protect, restore and spread the Dien Bien spirit to the whole country in many different forms, including the implementation of the above panorama.
The panorama painting “Dien Bien Phu Campaign” is a massive, unique work of art with an area of over 3,000m2, created by nearly 200 talented and dedicated artists in 9 years, under the guidance of chief architect Nguyen Van Mac. The painting vividly and realistically recreates the entire Dien Bien Phu campaign.
With the desire to fully convey historical values so that Vietnamese people, especially the younger generation, can better understand the great sacrifices of their ancestors and the value of peace and independence, the Ministry of Information and Communications has coordinated with the Hanoi People's Committee to bring this painting from Dien Bien to Hanoi through 3D mapping projection technology.
This is a technique that uses light, images and sounds to create effects, helping viewers experience the painting in the most vivid and realistic way.
Many people in the capital came to see the Dien Bien Phu Victory painting using 3D mapping technology at the Martyrs Monument (Hoan Kiem district, Hanoi).
According to Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Manh Hung, the projection of the painting is not only an experience but will contribute to promoting and fostering a deeper appreciation for history, arousing national pride and patriotism.
“The history of the nation is like a stream that nurtures the identity and soul of every Vietnamese person. Today, we are here to express our deep gratitude to the generations who have fallen for peace and national independence, so that Vietnam can have the happiness and freedom it has today. With that meaning, this screening is also to express the whole country's heart towards Dien Bien,” said Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Manh Hung.
The event takes place from now until May 5, aiming to serve agencies, organizations and people, especially those who have not had the opportunity to visit Dien Bien Phu, to admire a unique work of art and understand more about the process and historical significance of the Dien Bien Phu victory.
This special event promises to bring the public a vivid, authentic experience of one of the most glorious pages of our nation's history.
