Khanh Hoa tourism is ready for peak season to welcome summer visitors

The 2024 National Club Sailing Championship and the Stand-Up Paddleboard Championship for Outstanding Rowers, organized by the Vietnam Sailing Federation in collaboration with the Department of Culture and Sports of Khanh Hoa province, gathered more than 140 athletes and just ended on June 9. The tournament is one of a series of events opening the Nha Trang Sea Tourism Festival taking place in June 2024. Not only does it satisfy the athletes' passion, but the beautiful images of Nha Trang's mountains, rivers, and clouds have the opportunity to be widely promoted. As the first national-level tournament for sailing and stand-up paddleboard racing, it is hoped to open up new tourism products for the coastal city.

Sailing will be a new tourism product of Nha Trang city.

Mr. Dang Bao Hieu - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ana Marina Nha Trang, Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee of the National Club Sailing Championship and the Stand-up Paddleboard Championship for Excellent Rowers in 2024 said: "Sailing sports are very important to the tourism industry, activating the attraction of tourists. I know many tourists from Korea, Japan, Russia, they really want to come to Nha Trang to participate in sailing sports. This is a popular sport, widely developed in coastal countries. Developing activities like this is a great promotion for Nha Trang tourism. Tourists coming to Nha Trang are more active in marine sports activities".

Currently, at April 2 Square, Nha Trang city has 200 booths for businesses and organizations to participate in the Nha Trang Sea Tourism Festival with the theme "Bright Pearl Bay". In addition to the participation of large tourism businesses, localities that link tourism products with Khanh Hoa province all have booths to participate. In particular, localities in the province also have booths and clusters of booths to introduce tourism potential through the display of agarwood, handicrafts, traditional cuisine , images of historical and cultural relics and scenic spots in the area...

Mr. Nguyen Duc Thien, a business in Ho Chi Minh City, said that this was the second time participating in the Nha Trang Sea Tourism Festival: "The Organizing Committee prepared very carefully, the program was grand, the space was very spacious and comfortable, enjoying right at Tram Huong Tower, which is the center of Nha Trang city. The square is spacious and airy, very convenient for many tourists to visit. The Vietnamese cuisine is very rich, everyone loves it."

In 2023, along with implementing stimulus solutions, Khanh Hoa province organized major events to attract tourists. Accordingly, Khanh Hoa province welcomed more than 7.2 million visitors, with revenue of nearly 32,000 billion VND. Continuing the growth momentum, aiming for sustainable development, from the beginning of the year, Khanh Hoa province built a plan to promote key markets, boost tourism stimulus, and affirm the tourism brand.

Sea and islands are still the advantages of tourism in Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa

Mr. Pham Minh Nhut - Vice President of Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Tourism Association said: "Recently, some flights have had their ticket prices reduced, I think the trend will be better for tourists traveling by plane. Especially now, the expressways in the South have been formed, road travel will compete with air travel. At the same time, rail travel has also progressed very well, there are 5-star quality service trains, creating more experience products for tourists".

This summer, after the Nha Trang Sea Tourism Festival, the Nha Trang International Light Bay Festival will take place in July. This festival was developed from the drone light performance that created a strong impression in the 370th Anniversary of the establishment and development of Khanh Hoa province in 2023. Nha Trang city, Khanh Hoa province is a tourist city that cannot lack cultural and artistic events, entertainment venues to attract tourists. Khanh Hoa tourism development strategy determines to organize major events to continue to promote, spread the image, and form unique and distinct tourism products.

Mr. Dinh Van Thieu, Vice Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, said: "In the first 5 months of 2024, Khanh Hoa province achieved very positive tourism results, nearly 4 million visitors, approximately 50% of the year's plan. Khanh Hoa province will successfully organize a sea tourism festival. In July, Khanh Hoa will prepare for the Drone Light program, organizing competitions of 4 countries. The province has selected relatively reputable teams with technological level. Thereby, attracting more tourists, ensuring that this year Khanh Hoa province strives to reach 8 million visitors".
